In answer to other posts, it is NOT just simple math. I wish it was, because then I, too, could do systems design. There are a number of factors involving equipment, levels, what happens when other classes buff/debuff you, and, in my opinion, CHAOS THEORY. Weird stuff comes to light when hundreds of people test an ability outside of what any spreadsheet can predict. I think we can all agree that the fact that RIFT now has over 4,000 possible soul combinations makes this an exceptionally challenging and ongoing process. We are on it, and will continue to adjust over time. I keep saying it because it's true: direct player feedback is essential to the process, JUST as essential as analyzing the hard data that we log.
