Prime IS different, but we wanted to be sure that we were prepared with an end-game and with a way that Prime players could at least keep their characters and aweseome items, then transfer to a Live server of their choice at no charge. That said, if Vigil has a self-sustaining population at the end of progression, and all those folks plan to stay, Dev is VERY open to other options. We'll revisit this when we get closer - that date is likely at least a year off. Prime takes very little upkeep, although Dev is certainly making adjustments as we discover issues. Primary focus returns to Live in the coming weeks, starting with the launch of Carnival this Wednesday!Concerns over splitting populations:I cannot release numbers due to business confidentiality, but talking into account that we are in early days, we are not seeing a huge dip in numbers on Live servers. The majority of Prime players are returning (and, surprisingly) NEW players. Folks who have not been on Live F2P for a long time, if ever.We anticipated some Live Patrons would try out Prime for a while (we see them!), but let's face it, their longstanding homes are with their beloved guilds on Live. Their well-developed characters, their guilds containing valued F2P friends, their achievements, mount and wardrobe collections, not to mention artifact collections and minions... they are all still on Live. My best friend Wren, for instance, logs into Vigil to hang out with me, but her heart lies on Live and she will only occasionally hop over to Prime.Let us not panic on any front, but rather log in, enjoy our preferred playstyle, and watch as the first Prime server unfolds alongside Live. They are two sides of the same Telaran coin.;-)#Brasse
