Mana Aegis is interesting. Its absorb amount is a function of your Maximum Mana along with several other factors, which is why as you pointed out the shield stops increasing at a certain point. We standardized all absorbs to be 85% absorbs, and in so doing Mana Aegis got substantially more effective. Perhaps this spell should instead be changed to a 30% damage reduction with mana lost when hit, though the current iteration certainly seems quite effective.
