When I get to it, they won't despawn at all. It is one of the easiest things to change.

I make NO promises on time frame (and as I said, the changes might be gradual improvements done as I squeeze them in), but it will be after 1.9. I am the designer wrangling the first wave of Instant Adventure for low level zones, and that is a pretty consuming project at the moment. ;) But as a player on Live, I am trying to knock out the rare mobs achievements myself. So I have a bit of personal pet peeve driving me on this subject.
