He doesn't have the Ascended souls.
Ah ok. I had assumed he maybe bought the essentials pack. Apparently not... thanks for the quick reply :)
Another user contacted me earlier today about this as well. The Wild's and Primalist Packs come with the Primalist calling and base souls. However, the Maelstrom soul specifically is obtained through the Ascended Souls pack.
