Unable to get past character select screen after patch

Good afternoon. After the patch today, Febrary 14th, when I sign in it takes me to character select screen just fine, however, when I try to enter the world it begins to load and then hard crashes out of the game.

I've tried logging out and back in which doesn't work. I've tried logging into another character but it says I'm still logged in as the crashed character. Not sure what to try.

Not had any issues before. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Same here, get "Report Error" and then booted. Tried everything.

Game crashes only when I try to log in my main character, other lvl70 alts seems unaffected so far. My personal bet problem is tied with Eternal Weapon quest.

My Wicked minion just hit lvl25 before patch and I haven't turned in the quest yet.

Anecdotal evidence: I'm on the Wicket phase too and am also crashing at login. Other characters (not on the quest) are fine.

I am stuck at the character screen as well (NA shard). Tried all of the things listed above. Cannot log into another character as it states that I am logged into the first character that I logged into.

Edit: I went ahead and logged onto my EU toon...the one not on the eternal weapon quest first and everything went well. I then could log onto my main.

Note: When I went back to the NA shards to log back in, it downloaded the patch again. Logged onto a toon not on the eternal weapon quest and everything is okay. However, went to log onto my main, get to 10% and the error report box comes up that Rift has encountered and error and to send report. I try to log onto other toons and it states that I am logged onto my main..... Weird, huh?

Despite error of the client your main character appeared online in the game. Most likely with <link dead> tag. All you have to do is to wait 20 seconds until system auto log off your character.
