Default 54 Saboteur in PVE - Guide

    Last updated 14.11.2013

    -added 22 NB variant

    The spec:

54SAB/22SIN/0MM (for Lethal Poison and increased Poison Dmg)

54SAB/22BD/0MM (for more frontloaded burst e.g. Blade tempo>Proteus)

54SAB/22NB/0MM (for most sustained and highest dmg) thx gery for finding this one

    Buffs:

Sin variant: Lethal Poison, Virulent Poison, Trap Extension
    BD variant: Trap Extension
NB variant: Hellfire Blades, Trap Extension

    Keybinds:

    Macro = M
    Annihilation bomb = AB
    Fragmentation Bomb = FB
    Spike Charge = SC
    Caltrop Charge = CC
    Spike Bomb = SB
    Barbed Trap = BT
    Rapid Setup = RS
    Choking Gas Bomb = CGB
    Detonate = D
    Carpet Bombing = CB

    Macro:

    #show annihilation bomb
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast annihilation bomb
    cast spike bomb
    cast cloud maker
    cast time bomb
    cast embers bomb
    cast splinter bomb
cast @gtae booby trap (or barbed trap for ST)
    cast @gtae chemical bomb

    AOE rotation:
    Initial Block:
    Pre-fight 5x Caltrop>
    AB>SB>CB>3xSB>Hit M until 1 sec left of CC(use kalert)
    RS>CC>FB

    First Block:
    3xM>5x CC>FB

    Second Block:
    M until 1 sec left> RS>CC>FB

    Third Block:
after a FB and CB gets rdy>CB>3xSB or 3x AB (depends on mobs moving or not)

    *Note:
-You have to use FB on CD together with the CC charges, due to this you will get a double dip of CC (or SC) at the end of the dot and in the beginning of the new dot

    - Blocks are executed this way:

    Initial Block>
    First Block 3x>
    Second Block>
    First Block 2x>
    Third Block>
    Second Block>
    First Block 3x

    rinse and repeat

Thats the rotation where i can get the most dmg out of it due to double dipping the equivalent DOT, SB being more dmg than AB(if mobs are not moving) and so on

Would be nice if anyone found something more efficient but i doubt xD

    ST- Rotation:
The same as for AOE but change CC with SC

    Burst-Rotation for Proteus:

    Pretimer 5 SC>
Pretimer>SB as often as you can(dont waste CB yet)

    Timer starts:
    FB>SB>CB>3xSB>
    5xSC>FB>RS>1x CC>M until timer ends

With this i was getting 3 million dmg per phase with the BD variant( and yes call me bad but no other spec was able to do more in my gear, SIN,NB,BD were all at 2,7kk at its best due to my gear)

It's worth mentioning to say, although Proteus is not a hard encounter, saboteur becomes rly handy on this fight due to his AOE cabability so that more important callings like clerics and warriors can do their job on tentacles/Proteus

You also bring armor debuff, non-physical debuff to every encounter its worth bringing saboteur with it.

Have fun with this spec and let me know any feedback you'd like to share!

    Sincerely yours, Nynja

I really hate macro'ing carpet bombing, other than that, it looks pretty solid, I'll have to try the Bladedancer variant.
    Why the Blade hustle point?

It's still a terrible PvP spec compared to Marksman, though.

After the Heat Retention changes 22 NB is the best subsoul for sab.

I'm more interested in a version thats good for pressure in conquest, I'll give both of them a whirl to see which one comes out on top. I wish there was a way to record combat logs.

Shouldn't you wait until you have all your bombs dropped off before carpet bombing? To make the most use of its reset functionality

What I usually do is pre-5 -> fragment bomb -> rapid setup -> spike bomb -> spam until all my bombs are on cooldown -> caltrop charge -> carpet bomb -> spike bomb x4 -> fragment bomb -> spam

the only issue i see is that your burst gets delayed but on a long fight (ft twins/matriarch is the only experience I have with sab raiding), it shouldn't matter

If you let CC/SC drop its a huge dps loss and most of the bombs are just fillers anyway and they are weak.. also you wanna get spike bomb charges up ASAP for the 15% extra dmg

But you are right, its important for the initial burst, later on on block 3 it is the case like you described

I tried this build in pvp, its horrible lol, it performs well in pve though, but the added 5m from Marksman is too huge a difference to give up. So i'm sticking with the marksman build, it still peforms well.

I would assume this since Sab doesn't use Finishers. But I'm also curious to try this O_o

But if it is that, it only parses about 1k higher over 3 targets for me, which isn't worth dropping Lethal for.
