    Default PVP: The PYROBITER

I have been using this build successfully for the past week and figured I'd share it as the spec will eventually find its way to light.

In a WF I typically average 1100-1500 pvp dps overall. The low side being the pug team I'm on is not too great.

Strengths: Lots of cc, high hp / mitigation, 3 cc breaks, 1 button spam
Weaknessess: low ranged mobility dps, low aoe dps
About average on burst when timed right.

    The spec:

    Buffs:
    Energized Vitality
    Pyromancers Armor
    Aqueous Blessing
Either Frosted ward or Arcane Ward situation dependant.
    Pyro synergy crystal

    The macros:

    Spam:
    #show Glacial Spike
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Inferno
    cast Flame Bolt
    cast Countdown
    cast Galvanic Strike
    cast Fireball
    cast Glacial Spike
    cast Searing Vitality

    Heal:
    #show Soothing Waters
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Soothing Waters
    cast Swirling Winds
    use Stellar Healing Tonic

    Separate hotkeys:
    Choking Flood
    Burn
    Burning Bonds
    Avalanche
    Scortch
    Rift Tomb
    Crystalize
    Flicker
    Heatwave
    Burning shield
    Internalize Charge
    Cinder Burst
    Arcane Ward
    Frosted Ward
    Shared Agony

    KALERT SET:

Time countdown with Fireball + Cinder Burst + Inferno + Flame bolt with Internalize charge active for a nice lolburst.

Toggle on Cyrstalize if a dom decides to mana drain you and lol at them as you gain 10% mana back per gcd.

Shared agony if you have a healer getting focus fired. Great for macro'ing in with a pocket healer.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say arcane ward toggling for your bursts?

Most of the time I spend with frosted ward up.

The only times I toggle on arcane ward is if I am carrying an objective, or I need the extra survivability if I am holding an objective or if I need to stay alive to cclock opposing teams healers deep in a sea of red.

    Thanks for posting OP

i found this quite a fun spec, and reasonably strong in wf's.

Maybe its my playstyle, but i found archon better than doms (just because with archon you just know you will get a cb proc from searing vitality)

But anyway, its fun and useful at times, but it is not quite up to either full pyro or my first weapon of choice pyrochon.

Cant see why it would need nerfing, its single target damage is 20-30% down on the other 2 specs

What I feel is OP about it is you effectively have 12 cc abilities available every 2 minutes for use.

Hmm, i think that is the reason why in most situations a straight dps or bufferdps is better.

i know debilitated bugs out, but this spec has good cc and bad cc

we only want the good cc to hit, given the way dr should work

(thunder blast is bad cc btw)

one slight modification here, there is no reason to have soothing waters on there twice. once you cast swirling winds the first soothing waters will be available again

Another swiss army knife mage spec..

I ran into this spec the other day and found it annoying and fairly good at irritating and reducing dps or heals but other than that there are other specs that are much better at CC, damage etc. As a full harb I cut through this spec fast and took nearly zero damage.

Play style aside 61 Dom is better CC + utility, better dps and much better spike. Pyro still has some good CC and great dps, surviveability + boom spike. Harb best single target mage dps + very good CC and utility + self heals and surviveability.

Have seen 2 or 3 folks in WF using this spec, good to see folks using it, but they aren't utilizing its strengths, which are its massive amounts of cc.

Also not seeing people with 40K+ hp, which tells me they aren't using end runes on pvp gear, or have very little pvp gear at all.

This build is a bit better pvp dps now that pyro has been revamped.

I found a 44/32 to be the best update with 2.8 pyro.

Will post my updated spec and KAlert set later tonight after raid.

Played succesfully this spec a lot before the revamp and loved it (so many cc and pp are so suprised to get pulled by a pyro ^^).
Just had a little try with the new pyro, more dps but the loss of cc hurts.

Must have a second look to my new build though

You might want to remove Backdraft and Withering Flames macros from this. Also Glyphs of Power and Flaring Intellect and separate buttons with pyro skills no longer in game ^^

Indeed, thanks. I forgot to take out the abilities that are no longer there for 2.8.
