Rather than quote your whole post, I cut most of it for most of my posting purpose.

First off, thank you for continuing on with the gear lists. People like me appreciate it very much. I downloaded the file and saved it to my desktop so that I have easy access to it. Here is a problem I am hoping any computer literate person can help me with...

Now that the actual file is saved on my desktop I can open it by opening Excel and then opening the file just fine. However, what I cannot do it simply double click the file on the desktop and open it. It tries to open with Microsoft Office Component 2010. The actual pop up error says Blah, Blah, Blah.xls is not a valid Win32 application.

When I right click and try to OPEN WITH it gives me both the Microsoft Office 2010 component and Notepad, I hit the + symbol for Other Programs and Excel is not on there, the only Microsoft Office program in the listing is Word. When I try and BROWSE for the Excel, I hit Start Menu, goto Excel, right click, Properties, and there is no actual target location.

I am running Win7 64bit so I am not exactly sure what the hell the Win32 application is all about but then again I am not a computer guy either.

So How do I get the Rezel's Mage Gear List v5.5 file that is on my desktop to be saved so that I can double click it and have it auto open using Excel?

It sounds like you have .xls registered to an application that doesn't exist anymore. And Microsoft is hiding their office executables from the shortcuts for some reason. On my machine the executable for Excel is:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\EXCEL.EXE

You can find it by launching Excel, opening Task Manager (ctrl+shift+esc), finding EXCEL.EXE in the Processes tab. Right click it and Open File Location.

Now go to the .xls file, right click and Open With, then browse for that file and tell it to always use that program.

Depends on what goes live. The only thing I saw was a staff with comparable stats to Rusila staff (minus like 3-5 SP) and a healing proc (SHoE type proc on 5 people). Don't know if anyone saw MH/OH drops on PTS.

SO got a very bugged mage dagger of twyl, might end up being flametalon 2.0, hard to tell with how bugged some of the items in there are.

The wisdom dagger, cloth belt and cloth gloves in PF are all inferior to both ID drops and mark gear. According to what I saw from the PTS.

To above, you're undoubtedly right, but we still want to see them on the list, for people who are not in ID, or who haven't got lucky on an ID drop.

I don't know that anyone is maintaining this anymore, so I have updated the list with the new PvP gear, and if people want to post new PF/ID items (pref screenshots) I will add them to the list and keep it updated.
