Je good points, old old 4.5 problem it seems.
We are comparing 50+ specs on 3 bosses of which at least 2 heavily favor and 1 supports one specific playstyle (midrange intervall burst).
The Destro pack would fall apart on a max range (35m) engagement. Which is pretty much the only weakness and doest effect it atm.
Shaman is okay-ish but defenitly could trade some skillgap for performance (double Crushing Base dmg for a 10% total gain)
Please note that it takes time to see something establish. The destros came out early January but werent a thing til march- still on a 1.5 average back then (alot of conservation buffs around). Now the 1.8 starts to become a thing.
Shaman- and new reasons to not-onebutton it came around only recently and most clrc surely lowkey still 1b it.
Same with and the crucial Mimikry hotfix.
Some pioneers may main it already(or still do) while there are a bunch of players not even aware of patchnotes.
We could never expect statistics to hard turn post patch in an Instant. We can expect one or another clerc in a Titanx list comming up tho.
Provoke and EoL don't go with 61 shaman- my bad.
Some proper encounter with 100% melee uptime+ druid would change the general perception.
Feel free to compare similar geared classes on gen. Silgen. Most specs aren't that far apart on that boss.
The Destros whole purpose is to kill Bosses and not alot more.
Shaman is a flexible dps solution for a healing class which happened to do gud in the past. You could consider Druid the pve spec since it's better at bosses and not alot more.
Druid minus IoB plus BoL has a compareable controlled mimikry heavy burst variant such as Shaman.
Shaman is the simpler and more flexible option- at a cost.
