    Default Updated Stat Caps?

    I took information from this thread:

    and found this:

    Soft caps:
    Crit 45%~13140 crit rating
    Crit Power 40%~3160 CP
    Guard 10%~2365 guard
    Block 45%~8138 block rating
    Dodge 20%(this is also a hardcap)~10845 dodge rating

    Does this need to be updated for 4.0? Or are the Percentages still correct (even though the numbers changed)

    For example I've heard the Guard Cap is more like 13%...

    I'm trying to find or create a compendium of

    Desirable stats for Cleric > Soft Cap > Hard Cap > etc.

    Percentages are still correct. Guard at 10% is about 4500. Crit Power is about 9000 (just over I think) for 40%. Couldn't tell you about the other ones, nor would I really worry about them. For tanking, just build to softcap guard then focus on endurance.

    Thanks for the reply, guard @10% is pretty easy to obtain. I've heard it suggested that block is more important for cleric tanks, anyone care to weigh in on that?

    Always Guard > Block > Dodge
    Getting Guard on a Cleric is about to get harder

    In what way? If I already have +10% Guard so, do i need to worry about it?

    Currently Clerics double-dip. 20% of Wisdom contributes to Guard. That is going to change later this month to match the other classes (10%).

    More than 10% guard isn't worth a lot, though it's probably still strictly better than block/dodge, but not by a lot (flat damage reduction > a chance at damage reduction). But keep in mind that the numerical rating required for "10% guard" is higher at higher tiers. So if you plan to raid you may want to go all guard just to future-proof.

    Clerics get 20% of their main stat as guard.
