    Default Quick Oracle Guide v2

This is a guide on how to play Orcale, and how to help support your group or raid.
Also warning mistakes could be present.

    Best Spec:
    61 Oracle, 10 Shaman, 5 Inquisitor

    Alternative Spec:
    61 Oracle, 12 Inquisitor, 3 Shaman – Purge

    Masteries:
    Level 61 - Avenging Shield
    Level 62 - Divine Inspiration
    Level 63 - Supplicant's Haste
    Level 64 - Diversify
    Level 65 - Soul Stream

    Buffs:
    Boon of Resurgence
    Boon of Vitality
    Inspiration of Battle
    Inspiration of Survival
    Inspiration of the Keep
    Favor of the Current
    Armor of Devotion

    Starting Rotation:
    Without Raid Cooldowns
Premonition > Vex > Soul Stream > Glacial Insignia
Battle Fury > Glacial Insignia x11

Emblem of Ice > Emblem of Pain > Wasting Insignia
Emblem of Pain > Insignia of Blood

    With Raid Cooldowns
Emblem of Alacrity > Emblem of Ice > Emblem of Pain > Wasting Insignia
Insignia of Protection > Resuscitating Chant > Defend the Fallen

Premonition > Corroded Defense > Vex > Soul Stream > Glacial Insignia
Battle Fury > Glacial Insignia x11

Emblem of Ice > Emblem of Pain > Wasting Insignia
Emblem of Pain > Insignia of Blood

    Rotation:
Keep refreshing Insignia of Protection & Corroded Defense on the target before pull.

Keep Wasting Insignia active on the target, using Insignia of Protection is optional.

Your want to have the Emblem of Alacrity & Emblem of Pain active before using Glacial Insignia and Insignia of Blood. For Wasting Insignia you want to all 3 Emblems active before using Wasting Insignia.

You should use Emblem of Alacrity every 30s, and Emblem of Pain every time it gets consumed.

After you get into the normal rotation you don't need to cast Emblem of Alacrity again if you keep Premonition & Battle Fury on cooldown.

You can use Premonition to get a free 60s Corroded Defense, it will not consume your stacks of Premonition.
Otherwise just use Vex, Soul Steam if off cooldown and a Insignia ability when Premonition is activated.

You should only be using Vex and Soul Steam when Premonition stacks are active.
If Soul Steam is on cooldown then use an Insignia ability instead.

When Battle Fury is active just use Glacial Insignia, then go back to the normal rotation when Glacial Insignia is on cooldown.

While raid buffs are going off use Battle Fury, keep on cooldown.
You shouldn't use Premonition until Battle Fury has ended and it's Emblems have been consumed.

For Aoe have Oversight toggled on, keep doing the rotation with the Insignias and keep Discerning Wave on cooldown.

When a raid wide DoT is spread onto your group or raid use Cleansing Chant.

If you lose too much mana channel Meditative Chant.

    Macros:
    #show Glacial Insignia
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Glacial Insignia
    cast Insignia of Blood
    cast Emblem of Alacrity

    #show Defend the Fallen
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Defend the Fallen
    raid Defend the Fallen

    #show Resuscitating Chant
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Resuscitating Chant
    raid Resuscitating Chant

    Information on Supporting:
    Spoiler!

    Hybrid Section:
I can't guarantee that either the healing or dps type hybrids will be better than their 61 point counterparts, they provide the best mix/match if you want to use one.

Vengeance of the Winter Storm is in your list of additional Druid abilities, but it is a Shaman ability.

What is the dps hybrid parsing? Will the DPS hybrid be replacing the bard?

61 oracle will be interchangeable with 61 bard. Hybrids are not really valuable in 20 man instances due to the nature of Defend the Fallen / Orchestra of the Planes but there could be some possibilities in 10 mans and other pve ventures. This is just speculation based on current content since i don't have any knowledge of the upcoming tier 3.

Same question that your Purifier Guide: You take CP or SP gear?

I think CP gear as like the guide Warden Guide. Furthermore, the Oracle's soul tree has an ability : Anatomy (increase the Critical Hit chance for your Insignia).

If I'm right, then why you don't use http://rift.magelo.com/en/soultree/p...laBlkGBh0/l8t0 ?

Or, If you take SP Gear, why don't you use http://rift.magelo.com/en/soultree/p...BlaBlkGBh0/p8g ? with 2 Points : Pursuit of Truth or Corporal Punishement AND 30% SP.

    Thank You for the guide.

For Oracle go for CP gear, there's very little in the way of healing with Oracle compared to that of Bard.
I see no reason of stacking SP over CP even though it has some shielding, their weak by nature and stacking SP isn't going do much.
This is all circumstantial until 2.7, however I don't see Oracle moving towards healing over damage.

I'll look into shaman off soul for more dps.

Yes. Agony(Emblem of Pain) hits for a good amount, Emblem of Ice buffs dmg by 20%, and Emblem of Alacrity is no longer consumed by Insignias. Also one of talents increases the dmg by additional 6% per emblem.

Use Mass Bestowal and Favor of the Current.
Keep refreshing Insignia of Protection on the target before pull.

Start with Premonition then Corroded Defense.
Use Defend the Fallen then Battle Fury and spam Glacial Insignia.
Apply Wasting Insignia at 0s on Battle Fury.
This is not quite correct. Corroded Defense doesn't pull mobs(same as Illuminate). A better opener would be:
    Corroded Defense(prepull)>Emblem of Alacrity>Emblem of Ice>Emblem of Agony>Wasting Insignia>Resuscitating Chant/Defend the Fallen>Premonition>Glacial Insignia>Insignia of Blood>Insignia of Blood>Battle Fury>Corroded Defense>Glacial Insignia x8>Wasting Insignia

After this it's pretty much EoI>EoA>Glacial Insignia/Insignia of Blood/Wasting Insignia. Premonition should line up after 2 Wasting Insignias, and Battle Fury should line up every 2 Premonitions. Battle Fury > Premonition because Corroded Defense lasts 1 minute so it will always line up with Battle Fury's CD.

I also use 61oracle/8defiler/7inquisitor. Druid is good, but Combined Effort is melee and has 1.5s gcd which makes it clunky in a 1s gcd rotation. Defiler also has the benefit of Rage Blight.

Need to remember that noone in your raid has your inspirations or 5% stat boost from them until you use an insignia. With that in mind -

Pre-Pull - cast premonition - 3 emblems up and prem CD ticking down happily, then cast Insignia of Protection and Corroded Defence while your tank is counting you in.

Open with Wasting insignia > [curses if needed] > Vex > Defend the Fallen > Restorative Chant > Battle Fury > Glacial spam.

Premonition should be off GCD by now if you timed it well pre-pull, so you can use it to get your emblems back up. Reapply wasting and vex and go into maintenance rotation -

EoP > EoI > Filler, Filler priority Glacial > Wasting > Vex > IoB, its fine to use vex as premonition will soak the Emblem of Alacrity consumption, maintain CD and IoP. Profit.

It might work out that vex isn't actually needed, time will tell when things begin to get finalised.
    Ambi - Cleric - Apotheosys.

Meh, nvm about the vex, its too early and it seems i've been day dreaming about how i'd like premoition to work rather than how it actually does

Vex is probably still worth weaving in with premonition once per 30s though and perhaps on the end of BF as well for 45s uptime per 60s. Not sure atm.

With the chance to critically hit added to Tainted Blood, IoB has an 8% higher damage value than Vex at max cp when factoring in a 9% critical hit difference between the 2. If Tainted Blood could not crit Vex would be a very minor increase during the situations you mentioned.

Went back and did correct math this time. Since Tainted Blood is unaffected by Devouring Emblems and Emblem of Ice bonuses, Vex would be a ~5% increase over using an Insignia of Blood during Premonition. This is assuming Tainted Blood doesn't get the bonus 9% crit chance that Insignias do. If Tainted blood is affected by this bonus Vex drops to about a 2.5% increase over IoB during Premonition. This gap would widen a bit during raid cooldown blocks.

Are you guys sure Vex is an increase?

I went into Dummy Foundry and found the min hit and the max hit of EoI+Vex and EoA+EoI+EoP+IoB/TB

    EoI+Vex
    Min Hit(Non-Crit)-1467 per tick
    Max Hit(Crit)-2764 per tick
    Min Dmg per GCD(0 Crits)-14670
    Max Dmg per GCD(10 Crits)-27640

    Emblems+IoB/TB
    IoB Min Hit(Non-Crit)-8846
    IoB Max Hit(Crit)-18630
    Tainted Blood Min Hit(Non-Crit)-5860
    Tainted Blood Max Hit(Crit)-11476
    Min Dmg per GCD(0 Crits)-8846+5860=14706
    Max Dmg per GCD(2 Crits)-18630+11476=30106

I believe IoB/TB crit more often than Vex as well. What am I missing?
