By the time this new wf map comes out no one is going to want to play it cause of this one guy wiping teams. All we know is the devs just let this happen, we as players really should step up and start doing something about it. The biggest problem i see is when people avoid him and just do objectives while he just kills everyone.

The only thing i can think of is focus him down as a whole team then focus objectives. Can anyone suggest anything else? Please don't say play bd or play your other specs better. I would hate to say this but, Im starting to think maybe rift prime might be a good idea to just avoid him. For instance if he plays prime might be best to stay on live or vice versa!
He can play marksmen or sin and still come out on top. It's called being a good player, something NA shards lack. 2 good players focusing him is more than enough to take him down. It's just a matter of being able to damage through his self heals(Planar Replenishment+Defensive Pose+Blood Thirsty+Reliquary of Rage+Visionary healing tonic+Philter). We can't all be pros and play Nightblade.

I'll check back in 9 months or so for a good chuckle. I'd love to see what bug/loophole/hack they patch that addresses what this ONE (1) "good player" is doing. While everyone witnesses how he's somehow not solo chain-killing 30 players in a row, all-of-the-sudden.

As if there's not myriad "good players" equally frustrated by this one person's exploiting, that we're going to believe we should just chalk it up to him simply being the one "good player" in all of Rift-dom pvp. And all the other "good players" play in the EU, conveniently.

Ah yes what are we thinking! Silly us, any spec can reach the same numbers as bladedancer.

I think about everyone agrees by now that bladedancer is OP.

One other thing I am really curious about is the gear differences of players. I know regular pvp gear from boxes and shop gives a significant boost, but I have never upgraded any pvp fragment. All these good pvpers are using pvp fragments of course.

In fact we can investigate this if people care to test it. So how much damage do abilities do with full pvp gear and without pvp gear? Is it twice as much or thrice as much damage? I am really curious. In particular the effect of good pvp fragments.

this is false, as anyone who has actually seen him play other specs knows

as opposed to getting 40-0 KB with BD he gets something more "down to earth" like 25, the difference is tremendous because he's far more manageable when he's not playing BD

only a select few people in this thread seem to be aware of what's actually going on. tick tock ballz. only a matter of time. lol

I played a level 69 BD and got 9 kills using nothing you linked lol. It is just way too easy to manage its burst spec(one of the abilities don't even need a target.) Compare that to something that needs to stack debuffs and buffs and have cooldowns at 1 min or 2 min with only 10 secs to burst ... etc, I don't know of any other class that has the capacity to have full uptime on its burst with little to no management. Why does this spec exist when we had devs nerf stuff like Shaman who had a 3 sec. burst block back in NT every one min! 3 SECS to BURST and Dev nerfs, and this gets ZERO dev attention and it can be up nearly indefinitely!? Craziness.

Its tick tock of the endless eternal clock because hes still doing what hes doing and no ones doing anything to stop it. 10 pages of complaint here, everyday endless complaints and accusations in wf's and still nothing. People stating the obvious because they experiencing it first hand not sitting on a forum coming up with excuses for his totally ridiculous spec. When 1 person can wipe out a whole team its ludicrous. Even worse is some members of his guild refusing to attack each other or him when on opposing teams. I know thats not against any rules but its hardly sporting either is it? Do they deny it? yes they do but I watch it happen every day. Its a shame because its making everyone in that guild look bad. Its real tacky guys play for your team.

At least people are getting wise and I do see people grouping up and fighting back lately but I also see people stop queing when hes on because the games are very one sided and no fun at all. I also see he's gonna test the new warfront on pts, well way to go putting people off that. Wonder if he will use his BD? if so please let a dev be watching.

OK, so i took a break from live to try prime and that was a big mistake because all the players i knew came back to prime and now they all left. I come back to live and it is still a mess with a addition of a new WF map.

They add a new WF, yet cant fix the problem with BD. They have a huge class/soul adjustment, and did not even touch BD. You would think they would fix BD first to fill WFs than make a new map. You would think with the loss of all the pvpers in this game that they would adjust BD a bit, so more people would queue for WFs. Does the devs understand how bad BD is in WFs? I want to say about 100% people i know that quit pvp in this game is cause of BD and how broken it is.

By now you would think the handful of people that do play BD, would stop playing it for the love of the game and respect. I know i am not the only one that lost all respect for 4-5 people that think they are good playing BD in WFs when all it is doing is killing WFs.

Please just fix BD and you will be surprised of the outcome on how better WFs can be.

Just checking back 4 months later. Seems they never fixed this. The exploiter (ballz) got so tired of god mode he quit, supposedly?

Well, I guess that's one way to deal with an exploiter. Let them exploit until they get so bored they lose interest.

Hi my friend, first i would like to thanks you for all your comments in this thread or your ig love, you made me laugh (for real)

I stopped Rift for 2 months. I did a couple of games that week to say hello to NA.

    Nerf Bladedancer....-woot.png

You guys were missing me since people gave up even faster than you on Bless .

Don't worry, i'm ultra casual on Rift and in games in general . Because IRL job and life still the most important from all.

I guess my "exploit (aka use my fingers)" isn't good enough anymore, i can die, i'm too rusty to this game, check out proofs below :

Anyway you are safe to believe that i have min/max many specs, from many mmos long ago before bd even exist.

But yes as i said since day 1, BD need a nerf (even if there are ways to counter it), as some other specs, but they don't looks so nice also because there isn't ppl to master it. Out of all of the necessary fixes, content, adjustments that we all need and want. But well as said on other threads, the rift we all love is missing us. And the impact of prime was as bad as expected for live shards (about the little we still had)

    ================================================== ==================================

To finish on another subject :

I have the conviction, that on a long term point of view, for the remaining NA players from SFP, that the "influence" and "the hatred" that i provoked by overkilling ppl (and premades with bds ;) ) alone, pushed some of them to become much better than they were for years, never giving up is the only way to progress, it's the key. I'm pretty sure that some ppl that hate me aren't even aware of this (also i has never talk with most of). We all started noob on anything. The people that left because of me are the kind of people that will never progress. It's pretty sad for them since the willingness and the mind are important.

Best regards - Camelot unchained B1 comming soon .

And this is why great, fun games die after their original visionary conception. This player, among others:

    1) Admits he's exploiting (albeit with his fingers, so not really?)
    2) That he's been doing it for a loooooong time
    3) He's the only one that successfully does it because he "destroys all other bd"
    4) The exploit is never effectively removed (Player pop. continues to plummet despite gimmicks such as Rift Prime
    5) All the revenue lost from all of us not playing because of a cheater being allowed to cheat and other unresolved issues...
    6) Annnnnd your game is sold off to the highest bidder (cough Daybreak Games cough) so your investors (Trinity Ventures, Time Warner Investment Groups, Comcast Ventures, Rustic Canyon Partners, etc) can squeeze out just a little more $$$$.
    7) All these people with jobs at Trion Worlds? Including forum mods, developers, etc... please put this work history on your resume so those of us with dev companies - never hire you.

    Good luck!

Why do we keep accusing someone of exploits and cheats, but never specify what he's actually doing that proves he is exploiting or cheating?

In other words, you haven't got a clue what he's actually doing and therefore you can't prove he's exploiting or cheating, and therefore you're blatantly creating defamation of a person without the required proof because you're clearly envious and desperate for a scapegoat. You do realise that's illegal in many real life settings? So why do it now?

Sure, he's broken, no doubt. We have the same on EU with a couple of rogues (balls being one of them when he decides to log on). They seem to have the same spec as most of the regular rogues playing pvp (or not, maybe this is the reason?), but they've discovered some kind of set rotation/timings that create huge consistent burst potential that basically makes anyone else seem like a lvl 20. You can rank bladedancers into 4 categories. First one being fresh pvpers without gear, fairly easy to manage as a good player. Second being most bladedancers playing pvp, they're strong and OP but manageable. Then you have the third category, the players you can't help have some admiration for, the small amount of bd's that seem to pump out far more damage (maybe due to gear?) creating a lot of frustration for others. Then the 4th the category, the REEALLLLYY strong ones (I've only ever counted 2 so far including balls and necro(?)) that flatten everyone by a very distinguishable margin. I therefore out of pure logical reasoning must conclude that this is unlikely to be only down to gear, fragments and mechanical skill.

Surely one of the best ways to nerf this is to describe in depth how they do it. That is where I will criticise someone like Balls. He gleefully laughs at posts like this (as anyone would), but his choice not to explain how he does it shows a lot about his character and support for the game. I can understand how someone who number crunches and spends hours on perfecting rotations likes to keep their secrets, but only to the extent when it's not a lead cause to the destruction of Rift PvP.

After all, true skill comes from reacting to situations perfectly, knowing how to adapt to the changing landscape of objectives and portraying a large amount of mechanical skill. If they don't prove this, then for me they don't belong in the category of "pro players". Balls does not show his skill through the first 2 (neither does any bladedancer I've ever met for that matter), but possibly through the 3rd. I say possibly because I doubt his superior mechanics is the reason he destroys 99% of all other bladedancers, the gap in damage simply wouldn't be that large. Mechanics is all about CC, reactions, timings and knowledge of enemy abilities etc...

...No, this is not the case here, this isn't about player on player interaction, when to engage, and how to keep your buffs rolling. This is about creating substantial damage despite who the enemy is. This is due to an in-depth knowledge of how certain abilities stack with others to create a unintended amount of consistent burst potential. To this extent it may be an exploit, but unless he's actually going to the level of breaking abilities so they don't function as intended then it can't be classed as a ban-able exploit. I think we can safely say it's not this considering no Dev has banned him (actually I think I've spoke to balls when on EU as I recognise his name, and he explained to me how Devs have already broken down his build and can't find any exploits, I believe him). But to the extent at which he's using abilities that are interacting in an odd way? We won't know, until someone breaks it down for us all to see.

When something is so OP it becomes soul destroying, the best remedy is to either:
    1. let everyone do the same, create absolute chaos. Often this is when Devs react.
    2. Make a video showing the technique/exploit and post it in general forums. Devs reacted very quickly to the primalist video when that was released as they were concerned every guy and gal, granny and dog was going to start playing it.

If you mean well Balls, you should consider doing one of these 2.

Takes 4 buttons to perfect Bladedancer rotation, the rest is just gear/positioning/movement/knowing when to engage/when not to engage and not dropping your dances like a scrub

Possibly, but I would be hard pushed to believe 99% of bladedancers are pressing these buttons in the wrong order (including the 3rd category of decent players I mentioned in my previous post), but balls is?!

If you consider any similar type of PvP game and PvE for that matter, damage starts to flatten off at a certain level in skill. The rotations become mastered, the rest is mechanics that decides on a victor or 'who gets the record dps on a boss fight'. We aren't seeing that here, we're seeing damages of magnitudes far more than can be attributed to mechanical skill alone or slight perfection of the '4 button rotation'. So it must lie somewhere within the choice of rotation and abilities used, something significant that 99% of players haven't clocked, something that can be fixed. (Please note: I am not referring to the fact bladedancers are overtuned anyway).

Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe they are pressing the buttons in the completely wrong order? Maybe rogues are simply that bad in this game? Maybe they just haven't properly tweaked their specs? Maybe balls's frags are just that superior to everyone else? I don't know, I'm a cleric through and through. But until someone breaks it down and proves to me otherwise, and until I stop getting 100%ed in 5 seconds by 2 people in the game despite mitigation cd's and full PvP gear XD, I will stick with my assumption above.

There are no rogues in this game left that have put as much time, money and effort maximising bladedancer for pvp than balls. It was over a year ago i showed him how dumb the spec was and he's been working on it i imagine every day since so ofcourse he's going to steamroll everyone lol.
