    Default Compilation: PvP issues, complaints and suggestions

    Hello,

    I went back about 5 months in the PvP section and pulled out some of the threads that I thought were valid and/or helpful in order to improve the PvP experience. This hopefully addresses some of the most urgent/major concerns with PvP in 4.0 and beyond.

    I would invite the community to recommend some threads to add or remove from this post to keep it informative and helpful. Don't hesitate to suggest items from other sections if they apply to PvP.


    Time to kill & Damage

    Reduce PvP damage

    TTK shorter with updates, stuck playing 1-2 specs to be viable

    Every class can obliterate someone in 1 second

    Time to kill issue even worse since 4.2


    Gearing

    PvP fragment rate is too low

    Suggestion to help with low PvP fragment drop rate

    Another suggestion to help fix low PvP fragment drop rate

    Some PvE gear is unbolstered and BiS for PvP --> See this post for a list of what is considered "best in slot" currently

    PvE raid earrings are significantly stronger in PvP than Reaper's

    No shield option available for PvPers


    Warfront issues & Mechanics

    Nothing cool to work towards for PvPers

    Mounts are too fast in PvP

    Whitefalls Steppes is boring due to turtling

    Since disabling /stuck, players get stuck and can't participate

    Late warfronts are still an issue

    Players are frustrated with lack of attention to PvP


    Classes & Class Balance

    Improving the balance between melee and ranged DPS

    Clerics suck in PvP

    Bug: Sergeant's Order (and some others) ignores CC immunity

    Balance changes are too slow and too drastic

    Class balance suggestions

    Major bugs with Cabalist dots and CC

    Mystic's Forced Apathy remains for its full duration after death

    My point is right here, This nice loyal player has gone out of their way to look and pick and piece together the voice of US with all these threads. Are they threads of that compliment. LOL, nah.

    You guys are losing players like an assassin rogue bleeds his enemy. Slowly everyday the people on my firends list is getting shorter and shorter. No one logs on anymore it seems. They are, or were loyal pvp'ers.

    I soon to quit and take my money somewhere els

    Why stay and hope that pvp will get fixed. I must be delusional to think this. TBH, I have been hoping since SL.

    Today, I was on and soooo many times people just left. So many peeps left that the wf's ended early. What does that say? Players are annoyed and pissed.

    GIVE US SOMETHING TO HAPPY AND EXCITED ABOUT FOR ONCE.

    Everything is broken.

    Im going to invest time in thumb wresting over this garbage. At least the pvp aspect will be more balanced, (unless going against King Kong or Chuck Norris)

    Chuck Norris asks: Hey Trion what happen the Myr days where pvp gear actually ment something? Also, Why did you take that aspect out of the game? 6 sec stuns? Really lol?

    CC RIFT where you are NOT ammune to anything!

    yes i was a really fan of rift pvp but nothing Change the last month...that why i leave rift

    i mean to many issuses in pvp Systems!

    - OP Skills ( Skills with more 100k Damage, on tank build 50-80k )
    - no new Items, Maps
    - No good Ranking System
    - issuses with Evade, Block, Accuracy, Heal Systems
    - No Support for other specs only dps 90 % of People Play dps builds <_< not worth to Play a other spec
    - Trion canceld types of Weapons no new 2hand swords, Shields etc the last years
    - the time for joining a Warfront really Long the last weeks many times i wait 5-10 min
    - the warfront Mission/win not worth all farming kills not more

    yeah atm is pvp in rift really bad

    Pvp is so empty, someone should really look at implementing a few of these changes to get people excited before it dies completely. Q's can take 5-10 mins, and more for a duo w decent elo...almost unplayable

    Great post Tropi ! Especially since you have op classes yet still can see how it effects the game as a whole, rather than just blindly riding the wave and enjoy the killing spree for however short/long it would last .

    We need more players with introspection skill points like you do !

    Well since there's a thread asking if we could change one thing maybe we can direct them to this one, I sure hope at least one of these many issues are addressed for PvP.

    We all know that's highly unlikely, they don't care and never did about pvp so for them asking and us telling kinda means nothing. PvP won't change and although this is a good post, it won't even be looked over by Trion. But hey, one can only hope!

    The TTK and balance issues are particularly vexing, especially given the ease with which some of the issues could be addressed - if only Trion could find the will to care.

    4.2 did nothing to resolve any of the issues the PvP community has been clamouring about, and the response of the PvP community to Trion's indifference has been noticeable: less people logging in for PvP and longer queue times.

    It continues to amaze me that Trion so willfully neglects the aspect of the game that has the most replayability and mileage per development-dollar.

    /rant.

    Good post Tropi. I don't expect much to come of it, but the effort and intent is admirable.

    Excellent, well argumented post that describes the state of Rift PVP and how it is being ignored. But we all know how this will go down. Because it will get ignored the community will get frustrated and increasingly less constructive to trigger a response. Etc..

    One problem in pvp is that you can never under any circumstance escape with low life ever.
    this may seem like a trivial statement but it's not.

    For instance If I see that i am getting low on life and I do a good job of maneuvering to cover whether using leap backs ground targeting leaps such as thunderous leaps etc, if you successfully do this before you actually die, that effort you made has little no effect what so ever on whether or not you survive in many circumstance.

    you can never escape with low life in this game because every single little thing in this game is automatically an auto following ranged dot spam/bs projectile. I enjoy playing ranged as well and its even an issue for ranged.

    the game has no collision detection on ranged spells projectiles and ive touched on this many times.

    Point is if I make it to cover before a projectile hits me example if i make it behind a pillar for a projectile hits me I dont wanna see dumb **** mindless ranged spam fodder flying through walls corners stairs pillars rocks. I dont care if you already casted it put collision on it ,.

    It penalizes good playing.
