Default Karthan run speed with stone

I was in Karthan yesterday and a player was able to outrun me while carrying the stone, by a significant amount. I thought it was a Primalist but not sure. Even with my riftstalker shifts I wasn't able to catch up. When I carry a stone all of my speed abilities are disabled. Are there classes that get run speed even while carrying a stone?

    Default There are

Several super speed builds ... they stink for anything but speed BUT they are super fast I use a few myself its a niche spec for a niche situation.

I am against imbalance in pvp. Your fancy raiding pants are unbalancing pvp.

Warriors can run a vk/bm/rb hybrid for max movement speed.. Primalist's Titan/Dervish shenanigans..

tl;dr movement speed tanky specs suck to try to catch up to

    Probably a primalist lol.

In those situations, a root or a charge is helpful.

the speed specs only become effective over a long run, where the lead they build gives enough time to cap.
eg: in a speed spec, if I want to cap the right side objective, i'll start by running up the left side.

if you cant keep up (61RB can keep up with any speed spec, but only if they start in range), then get ahead. the objective locations are known. take the shorter path to the further objective.

Same could have been said for whitefall which even had mounts to get ahead

I never had a problem with the old WF speed spec, RB/VK was perfectly suited to catching and killing them.

Of course, the best counter was a guard at the stone with two break frees and enough brains not to get baited off the stone. Their speed never became an issue if they couldn't get the stone in the first place.

Also, current karthan speed specs, they are passive buffs. Active speed boosts are disabled when carrying. Strip the carriers buffs, you'll slow them right down.

Yeah, I saw this once, where the carrier ran past the Defiant Path core, in front of the Defiant spawn, and to the Life Path core. I was only able to stop him from capping that time due to Ride the Wind, but damn was my team ever not ready to deal with him. Went from a 2-0 lead to a 2-3 loss...

Ffs, all we had to do was hold and wait. D:
