Pretty much Marksman/Inquisitor/Pyro for a good combo of burst/sustained damage/utility.

Warrior seems to be pretty lacking in ranged. Reaver still works, but isn't much compared to its former glory. Warrior has extremely good if not best melee soul in Paragon atm though. Primalist can burst for pretty damn impressive numbers with Ethereal Beam, but otherwise seems pretty meh.

I could be wrong about both Tempest and Vulcanist, never bothered to learn Tempest and only time I played Primalist was on PTS, when Dervish did 150k sustained damage in T3 gear lel. But yeah, at the moment I'd say Marksman, Inq and Pyro are the three strongest.

pyro is best by far. a geared pyro is way more influential in a match than MM or Inq and waaay more dangerous. MM at least gives you some time to react, you will see their build up and be waiting for the BE+SB to come. Pyro you will notice a couple fireballs then bam instantly dead.

Pyromancer is easily the best in terms of burst, cc and anti-cc and boasts decent survivability also with its shielding and DR with heatwave. Marksman is a close second then Inquisitor in third place for its brutal channels but when channels are on cooldown it is a bit weak.

Tempest would totally destroy if it didn't have the 50% nerf thing

    ^Heh.

But yeah, Pyro is the best ranged spec by far. You have a lot of utility to run/break free in addition to hard RANGED stuns that you can cast before you use your burst. It's one of the most mindless specs I've seen and don't know why there isn't more qq about it than Marksman.

Inq is also good due to its multiple channels, but it's better in 1v1 situations than in zerg surfing like Pyro or MM.

The best ranged spec is the ranged spec from the class I'm not playing.

    Marksman.
Because it has a special skill called "nerf-immunity". Marksman is a kind of holy cow in this game.

Furthermore you can play Pyro or Inqui (also strong ranged specs) but dont be surprised when you read a patch note some day, that your damage will be reduced by 40%, because some Marksmen complained about it. Iam pretty sure Trion will rather increase the VK 1x purge cooldown to 10 minutes before they eventually touch the Marksman 6-second 2x purge.

I was thinking it was MM but now i have to agree its pyro. both are out of line in pvp tho.

I have no problem with glass cannons, but given all the utility and survivability(pyro) i just think these classes have too much of the good stuff. More like attack choppers.

MM is Pyro if pyro had no travel time, only one stationary spell, more frequent harder hitting spells.

But people say pyro is better? They're both OP in pvp but mm is clearly better.
