I mean sure I am in love with the idea of adding 300 extra mana to my offhand, but it would be awesome if these were evened out.

Because I don't want to be forced to use MH/OH instead of a staff.

The real injustice is that the red ball is 240 AP but 120 SP. End caster oppression.

Originally they increased damage by % and people were one-shot Fulminating with them. Then they changed them to flat bonuses of AP/SP and killed Pyro and people were one-shot Arctic Blasting with them. Then they killed SC and nerfed the SP value. Then they added souls like Warlord which gets 1.7 AP for every 1 AP you apply, or Para, which gets 1.5. Balance!

Because the devs obviously enjoy your daily qq threads about being a inquisitor and wanted to give you another reason to complain.

i would like to see ss evidence of this double dip for non casters.

additionally i would like to add that i actually have off hand weapon consumable that adds 60 vengeance for casters.

So is this basically saying, since all 4 callings get 200 veng and 2 of them get 300 mana too, that we should someway or another add something for say, rogue/warrior ranged weapons. I am completely for a Rogue related buff.

Casters: 200 sp to 2h or Mh
Physical: 200 ap to 2h or 100 to each 1h

Where's the double dip? Besides melee having better multipliers in specs

It's because a) Caster dmg is based on SP while Warriors and Roguebads scale with weapon damage AND AP b) SP has greater effect on dmg done than AP.

    I am confused.

A full freelancer mage has around 2.6k-2.7k SP without any runes, dream orbs, enchants or passives.
A full freelancer rogue has around 1.3k-1.4k AP without any runes, dream orbs, enchants or passives.

Most of the basic T1-3 passives are at 10% AP/SP/INT/DEX/STR/WIS for 5 points, not counting the odd ones that some souls have like 6% for 3 points etc. This implies the passives were not designed in a way that AP passives give more % per point to make up for the smaller numbers, but that they hold twice as much worth as a point of SP.

This pretty much establishes that 1 AP is worth a lot more than 1 SP, in this particular case 1AP:2SP

But for some reason Runes/Dream Orbs/Enchants provide the same amount of AP as it does SP.

Take the above examples of lvl 60s in freelancers.
    2600SP + 160SP = 2760AP, a gain of 6.15% SP
    1300AP + 160AP = 1460AP, a gain of 12.31% AP

Both mage and rogue PVP gear give the same amount of vengence as well, which from what I have read are equivalents of AP/SP in PVP.

Even on a 1:1 ratio, you are gaining twice as much AP as you do SP already, so why would getting twice the AP over SP for red orbs make sense? Rather, why do you get less AP on base equipment but the same over runes/dream orbs/enchants?

Are AP classes designed to scale better than SP ones for some reason?

Non-troll post btw. The math seems really weird to me.

PS: Why do rogues get to do 2x Vampiric Essence enchant for 20% chance, 10% leech, but other classes are stuck with 1x Vampiric Essence that does the same amount? Shouldn't it be scaled to half the same way it was for the AP enchants?

    So 2 SP = 2 AP = 1 AP + x weapon damage?
