Default Who is responsible for writing the mage pvp guides??

So I decided to whip my mage out after months of hiatus to see how underpowered they really from all the QQ. To my surprise not only are mages not underpowered, but possibly op if anything. All matches were done this morning playing pyrochon (the burst is ridiculous) It is my first time playing pyrochon. I don't know why more mages don't play the spec. I have 0 relic gear, low cp, 0 cq power, boxers to ankles, and clicking my mouse to boot.

The burst is higher than 61 pyro but you do lose out on a ton of defensive abilities like backdraft and what not, your positioning also has to be on point, this is something you cant teach unfortunately.

More people aren't playing pyrochon (my best guess) is because its expected to be gutted with the changes to the pyro soul. Personally I've always found -chon hybrids rather excellent in pvp. But I've also found harb excellent in pvp, and the guides don't agree with me.

Now imagine there were more mages on your team playing pyrochon overwriting your auras.

In one month or so, Pyrochon will be no more. With the Pyro changes it breaks that hybrid build. Positioning is definitely one of the most important aspects of playing on a Mage, really, no matter what souls you use.

Oddly enough, I will get more damage and KB's in a WF on 61 Pyro than I will on Pyrochon.

    Two things:
    1) Pyrocon as it stands will no longer be around (as I understand it) after 2.8. I think alot of folks, at least that I know of, are not QQ'ing about the current state of Pyro in PVP. If they are, you don't have to listen.
    2) The mornings in the NA cluster, in my experience, are probably the period where you will encounter the least amount of quality, geared players. Really any time before the early afternoon is what I've seen. I used to love going home around lunch time and getting a few wf's in, always seemed to crush...only to be put back in my place that evening.

One thing bugged me a lot.

Why are you using the same icon for your role swap macros?

If someone could post screenshots of warriors, rogues and clerics with similar KBs, would it mean that those callings are also OP?

honestly alot of mages are pretty clueless about useful pvp specs its why you'll see things like people running full ele specs or whatever they run to solo pve in pvp.

but i've seen alot of rogues play mm and not once interrupt me or warriors playing champion.

You lose out on one or two survivability abilities/talents, but with 3 Auras and 0pt Arbiter you're sitting at 15% passive damage mitigation, on top of the constant 15% runspeed from Spark Shower, 50% runspeed cooldown from Flowing Sands, and all the other amazing utility Pyrochon has. It sucks not having more hard CC, but you more than make up for it in other areas.

It is the best DPS spec Mages have, but most people are so used to the run-and-gun Marksman-Pyro that they think it's bad and can't perform well with it. Then some idiot queues into your WF playing 58 Archon and puts you on ignore when you ask them to please switch, and you have to soul recall and log out because you can't weep for humanity and melt face at the same time.
