    Default Lower Points for timer in Steppes to 5000-6000

    Hopefully Daglar will see this thread..

    I know we often do not agree on anything in this forum; however, can we all come together for a moment and, as a community, provide feed back that the 10,000 point threshold for the conquest timer in Steppes is too high?

    I see two possible solutions:
    • Reduce it to a flat "5000" (or so)
    • Implement a formula that chooses a point threshold depending upon how many active players are currently in the instance.

    I agree with either idea, steppes is a cumbersome mess.

    on EU shards, the first 3 minutes are exciting. after this everyone just leaves and one side stays dominating until reaching the 10k threshold.... wich takes like FOREVER. and then theres another 1 hour 15 minutes until we can play a Conquest people actually participate in. Steppes with the player mentality is just not worth it, not fun at all, boring. not worth a damn, waste of time and causes braindamage.

    I think not many people actually like Steppes as a CQ, so a change the points to start the timer to 5k seems fine to me.

    Usually by then there is a clear winner anyway (not always - but most of the times).
    f2p (2013-2014): ZevZevv, Deepwood, Defiant, Rogue

    most onesided, boring map ever, yet have to see one not beeing onesided before the 2k mark.

    Please do something...getting farmed 10k to 500 over two hours is not my idea of fun. No one not on the winning side enjoys this map.

    Make it 5000 please, at least to cure the tedium. Conquest was bad enough without this map.

    It sounds like 5000 as a goal is gaining traction in the community. I think everyone has good reasons for wanting it reduced.

    I don't suppose anyone has Daglar's ear, huh?

    5,000 would be great, especially during Oceanic prime-time. CQ: SOI isn't just painful for the losing teams, it's painful for the winning teams during lower-pop periods when there's pretty much nothing to do but run from point A to B over and over.

    Whilst I can understand the request for the cap to be lowered in the off peak hours, in the EU cluster of Gelidra, Bloodiron etc, there have been some great rounds in SoI recently in peak times. I'm not sure if this is down to multiple premades ending up on opposite sides or more people joining and actually sticking it out rather than leaving but it has been so much more than the usual shuttle runs.
    As far as the progression of CQ in terms of the next one that is released though, I think we're all in agreement that we don't want another SoI format.

    In agreement here. 5000 (or 3750) points would be a nicely set value so that off-peak CQ times aren't as slow in SOI.
