    Default Warfront Guide

This is not a guide about specs or how to play your class and will not make a scoreboard hero, but hopefully will give you a heads up as to what is going on around you in a warfront. Good luck

    Port Scion

First of all, the goal is not to hold the bridge even though it is the only objective tracked. You gain no points from the Bridge. Gaining the Bridge allows you a new respawn point in the middle of the map. What you need to do to gain points (outside of killing other players) is carry sourcestones back to your commander. There are three sourcestone spawn points located in the church and one on the opposite side of the bridge. The first team to reach 1000 points wins. The hardest part of Port Scion is learning the dead ends and drop offs on the street map.

The second method to win is to defeat the other teams commander, but this is rarely attempted because PvE to win PvP just feels wrong and also, the other team will win since they will be running sourcestones.

    Karthan Ridge

There are six cannons (three Defiant, three Guardian) in Karthan Ridge. The goal is to pick up the sourcestone and carry it to your opponents cannons to destroy them. Do Not take the sourcestone to your cannons. Once you pick up the sourcestone right click on the enemy cannon to destroy. The first team to destroy all three of the oppositions cannons wins or whichever side has the destroyed the most cannons after the 15 minute timer has expired.

    Karthan Ridge - Domination

The objective is to hold the five control points (two Guardian side, two Defiant side. and one midfield) Holding a control point on the opponents side awards more points than that of holding one of your own. The first team to 1000 wins

    Black Garden (Normal)

The object of this WF is to gain points by picking up and holding onto the "fang" in the center of the WF. Holding onto the fang causes increasing damage to the carrier. First team to reach 500 Wins.

    Black Garden - Stockpile

The object in this WF is to pick up the stones laying around the center of the WF and carry them to one of the two cleansing points on the map. Each cleansing point has a limited number of uses and once its charges are used up a new cleansing point will appear on the map. Cleansing points appear NW, NE, W, E, SE, and SW of the center area. Picking up an orb will add a slowing debuff of approximately 10% speed. Up to three orbs can be carried at one time with a debuff of approximately 30% speed. First team to reach 500 wins.

    Black Garden - Domination

The object of this WF is to control the three points on the map. First side to 500 wins.

    Black Garden - (all)

Power buffs can be found on the eastern and western sides of the map inside the two structures.

    Library of the Runemaster's

The object of this WF is to pick up runevessels and hold them for as long as possible. Unlike Black Fang Garden, multiple runevessels may be in play at one time. The vessels apprear at all cardinal locations on the first and second floor. Power buffs are gained by using the teleporter from level 3 to level 2. First team to 1000 points wins.
Tip: It is important to note that while picking up a rune will not guarantee more points for your team, it may keep the opposition from gaining an insurmountable lead.

    Codex

The objective is to capture control points and hold them for as long as possible. The Codex is the most important point because it awards 5 points per tick and breaks ties between control points, unlike the Statue, Vault, and Scope provide 3 points per tick. There are a total of three power buffs: one between each teams spawn point and nearest control point and one north of the Codex. There is a short speed buff located at the Vault. First team to 1000 wins

    Codex - Carnival

note: This WF is only available during "The Carnival of the Ascended" event and is not a random WF. The object of this WF is to capture the Codex. The other three codex points provide buffs to controlling team if a locked down. A control point is locked down if left unchallenged for three minutes. Once locked down, the capturing team receives the buff for the rest of the match and no other interaction can occur with that control point. In the middle of the field is a fifth control point and a roulette wheel that can used to receive random buffs or debuffs. Unlike normal Codex rules, only the Codex itself gives points. The team holding the Codex get 3 points per tick and 1 point per player kill. The team not holding the Codex receive 3 pts per kill. The side not holding the codex can bombard the codex from a cannon located near their spawn point but it is best used with a coordinated attack. Power ups are located same as regular Codex in addition to possible buffs from the roulette wheel and control points (damage increase, damage taken reduced, etc.) First team to 1000 wins.

    Whitefall Steppes - Escalation

The objective is very simple. Stormstones appear midfield of the map and must be carried back to your base for one point, but carrying a stone back to your base does not make it safe. At any time a sourcestone can be stolen from your base by the opposition and if carried back to their base gains them a point. The team first team to collect 3 stones at their base wins. There is a power buff located inside each teams base along with a speed buff and in the far back of the bases there is a health buff. There are also, two other health buffs located on the far sides of the midfield.

Whitefall Steppes ((Normal) - In case this is brought back.)

Inside each base are two sourcestones. The objective is to steal the opponents sourcestone and return it to your base without losing your own sourcestone. Once your sourcestone is safely at your base, the opposing team's sourcestone can be captured and gain a point. First team to 3 wins. Buffs: See above.

    General Tips:

Dont mark yourself as the healer in your WF. Everyone on your team can see your calling icon and we already know that you are a healer. Mark the other teams healers so we can easily spot them and focus fire.

If you see someone who is afk in a WF, target them, right click their portrait and click "report afk"

Dont be afraid to change specs in the middle of a match. Sometimes changing to a healer is what it takes to win.

Last of all, cut a broomstick handle down to 6-8" in length and wrap it generously with sterile white gauze. Now any time some bads steam your vegetables in a match, bite down on the broomstick and scream with all the vitriol you can muster and know I am doing as best as I can and I want to win too ;)

Ps. Please point out anything I missed or completely got wrong. Thanks

    great post.

unfortunately, no one who actually needs to read it will, because they never come to the forums.

trion needs to add this post ingame, and have it pop up whenever a player tries to queue a warfront, with a check box next to each sentence that requires all sentences to be checked before a player can queue. and also have it read as a voiceover when the player enters a match. and pop up whenever a player dies and respawns.

    Lol overkill

OP, thanks for the effort. You left out some stuff about port scion, but like kronos said, you are preaching to the choir here. Except, I guess I missed the carnival version of codex, sounds interesting!
    Tanza
Tanzanite@Deepwood is not a challenge to kill, don't mark her, you need a challenge.

Thanks. I never can get a real answer from players about scoring npc objectives in Port Scion and if your team isnt organized enough to take the bridge and run stones, then they are not organized enough to kill the commander.

I may still do a WF write up. This isn't bad but it is lacking a handful of information.
