    Can you name any other CC abilities in the game with a duration that long that also don't break on damage?

    Static Skill Shot is 5s, uncleanseable too. Burning Bonds is at least cleanseable.

    Only way to remove SSS is via break free.

    Let's not forget Arresting Presence, Choking Gas Bomb, Mass Fear apparently and other skills.

    the long silences arnt nearly as bad as that stupid dom spell that resilences you on a perfect rotation to not be affected by DR. Even break free doesnt get you out of the dom spell.

    My champ grinding build I use to kill turrets/extractors also has a no target limit fear bomb - I'll often suicide deep into the back line of an enemy zerg with the extended range bull rush (inescapable) and scatter them like ants.

    Two benefits - they almost all use their break free, and they almost all blow their hardest hitting CD spells/attacks to kill me. And then get rolled by the rest of my team.

    Given warriors are now slapping people around from range, and all dps is more or less normalized, there's honestly zero reason for the level of caster hate that remains in this game. A 5 sec silence on a 15 sec cd? Numerous AOE silences? The ridiculousness that is Arrested Presence? And a bunch of proc/ground based silences that apparently do not obey DR, too.

    I think the idea is to counter healing, and magic dps just gets caught in the crossfire. Some silence immunity talents deep in mage/cleric dps trees should have been introduced long ago. But nah, we'll just keep pretending there's some bizarre, unfathomable reason why mage/cleric dps needs to be checked by an exclusive category of cc while rogues and tempests dominate.

    Edit: hmmm... maybe they should change all silences into "flusters", then allow them to affect all ranged damage - tempest and rogues included. Suddenly there's a reason to play melee.

    Most of these complaints can be handled by simply spreading out. I guess people feel safer in herds, but players are specifically looking for clumps of sheep to drop their AoE abilities on.

    When clerics were unkillable it made sense but now - its ridiculous.

    clerics are still beastly, have a person spec 44 points into a tank soul is not taking down a cleric ever. this person roles this spec in shutting down a cleric so his/her teammates can kill the cleric. its pathetic the stuff people complain about.

    So if a MM is on his game against someone who uses hard casts, the caster can fight back in 5 second windows, every 5 seconds. That's one of the reasons I roll with Defiler. All instants, no Deadens.

    I did not notice that before :/ for some reason I thought deaden would still be on cd and used QR to reset it
