    Default can any dev (daglar?) explain how Vengeance really works?

    Tooltip says: Increases working attack power against player. (translated from german dont know exact expression in english).

    so for me it works like that:

    you have 2000 attack power but only 1200 vengeance, so in pvp only 1200 attack power is counted for dmg arythmatic. Is that right?

    What about bard cadence? it say 6% from attack power. In PVP is it calculated from 1200 vengeance or 2000 attack power?

    or is vengeance working completly different?

    i would be glad if a dev could really explain how it works, please.

    I could have sworn it gets added to your attack/spell power.

    So its like 2000 + 1200 = 3200 total attack power.

    Vengeance gets added to Attack Power

    if you had 0 vengeance, you would still do some damage in PVP

    in theory Vengeance should be a stat that stacks additively with your spellpower/attack power.

    So in your example it is 2000SP+1200Vengeance= 3200 SP/AP equivalent.

    Personally I think they should remove vengeance and restore the original SP/AP of PvP gear.

    for bard its certainly not additive ...

    besides replacing an ap rune with a vengeance rune, would be useless if its additive?

    Vengeance stacks with SP additively.
    If you are referring to any abilities that would increase the effect of SP/AP such as harbs 25% ability, I think they do have an effect.

    No because they would still stack.
    The AP rune you added would still be stacked with your vengeance.

    personally I always place SP/AP simply because I tend to wear PvP gear while running around open world while I am flagged.

    no i mean: vengeance runes would be useless as ap runes would be usefull in pve and pvp.

    I am unsure if it adds after class/stat enhancers or before. Which would probably differentiate whether or not Veng runes mean anything.

    What is Vengeance?

    Vengeance is a new PvP stat that provides an Attack Power or Spell Power bonus to abilities used while engaged in PvP. Basically, 1 point of Vengeance = 1 point of Attack/Spell Power vs. players.

    Even if they told us, it doesn't mean it works like they tell us.

    Remember how vengeance was supposed to be a 1:1 ratio to AP/SP yet didn't scale and didn't work for a lot of stuff and they finally fixed it for 1.11?

    The only difference is the devs never communicated a message saying "ya, we think vengeance was flawlessly implemented". I pointed that particular issue out around when it first came out, and said that if it isn't fixed soon it will either be forever a broken stat or cause a power influx too great once the stat is prioritized enough. Sure enough, they pretty much aimed to change it when the major soul revamps/cap raise came. Which as I also said all along, works as a reset button in many ways. Balancing is one it sort of does it with. I don't see how that whole aspect of the stat isn't clear.

    Think you guys are reading too deep into his statement. "[last time I checked] That is how it is suppose to work". Are you guys seriously seeing, [it doesn't work that way but] That is how it should work".
