    Default How Trion should have balanced the souls.

    1) Each point spent in a soul will offer a 10% bonus of a combination of effects, for instance:

    Stormcaller = 5% AoE damage, 3% Resistance, 2% Damage = 10%
    Warlock = 5% DoT damage 3% Damage, 2% Healing = 10%
    Chloro = 5% Healing, 3% Resistance, 2% damage = 10%

    And likewise for EVERY soul across EVERY calling, so at the base fundamental "root" they are balanced.

    Instead, Trion haphazardly re-tuned ability damage and then tuned the souls afterwards which only leads to a more complex class structure and harder work balancing in the future.

    2) Once the base "gifts" were decided on then they should have balanced the tree's out , they did an alright job with this (apart for some things like tempest range being so low tier) so they could have done better.

    3) Once the gifts and the tier's that abilties were decided on they should have THEN re-balanced all the damage on the abilities.

    4) Once the gifts, tiers, and ability damage was balanced they should have then re-balanced all the gear.

    But in actuality they went around it in some kind of complex fashion which is only going to be a nightmare to balance in the first place, and honestly i cant understand why they took the approach that they did.

    So i'm posting this message here Trion to tell you that you're doing it wrong (IMO) and to offer my opinion of how you should have gone around balancing, that's all.

    Two steps backwards for every step forwards.

    Uhhhh that's exactly what they did. Except they used simple and easily understood Gifts instead of whatever clusterduck you propose.
    Nope.

    Nope, that's not what they did :P Clearly shows how much you know about the different callings.

    So 1% or 0.5% per point is somehow MORE complicated than what you proposed? Puff puff pass, joker!
