chlorodom, I get the feeling this build gets brought up more than it should so rogues can say mages have more options vs them than they really do. Its avoidable by your main specs which control the approach by stealth or range, and even if they take the time to attack it usually go even with it- while still being more effective in overall gameplay. Chlorodom on the other hand is mostly a dueling spec with a focus on dmg taking (self heals some cc), and dmg on high cooldown (if splits isn't purged). It has a pretty limited sustained groupwide benefit imo (although I'm sure some chlorodoms will debate this- still think its exaggerated).
Outside of chlorodom mages mostly get crushed outside of group cover, it would be like if rogues had to spec bard/rs to keep up with most of the top end mage specs.

I still disagree with this.

I've fought pyromancers before and had them deal out some SERIOUSLY ridiculous damage. Insta-pyro+insta pyro+ shields + blink + dots makes it very difficult for a rogue to do a lot unless the roguey has every single CD up, and even then, if the mage has all CDs, they're still a tough nut to crack.
You mentioned eradicate, but every single class is like that. Before I was able to do ANYTHING in PvP like.. ranks 1-20, all I would do is play with my rogue friend and be his eradicate *****. You'll find that every single class in the game melts like butter if they have a rogue spam eradicating them. I've only ever fought one cleric that was still tough to kill with my eradicates, but she still went down.
People argue eradicate is OP but it's a trade off, you have a rogue spam eradicating... so they do no damage. But they're spam eradicating... but they're not doing any actual damage points. Argue which is more important that's fine, but it's not as OP as some people say it is (I know you didn't say it was OP or anything, but you did mention so I wanted to clarify that it's devastating force isn't limited to just magies)
Rogues aren't tanks, they're pretty squishy. And when they're not, they don't do tons of damage.
Super squishy rogue ----> OMG DAMAGE AHH RUN NOOO
Normal Rogue, little squish, little tough ----> Whoa damage wuhtuhfuh!?
Super tanky rogue ----> *cough* Doo doo doo.. Oh right! I'm in a fight!
I have two level 50s, a mage and a rogue. I enjoy rogues more, right now, because I like being able to slip away and be stealthed and unable to be ganked by fully decked p50 warriors. But I don't think the class is easier than a mage's.
I can't tell if you're serious. Are you serious?
