So lately I feel there have been some violations of what are the moral values which underpin conquest. So, just to confirm that everyone is well aware of what these are, and the etiquette that needs to be followed in a conquest match I am going to lay down some ground rules.
In chronological order from the beginning of the match:
1. The initial aim is to obviously tag all three minibosses, if you're not Oath then this becomes infinitely harder, but still manageable if people follow these simple guidelines.
DO NOT pop anti-planar and attack the boss.
DO NOT attack the boss more than once.
DO allow opposing factions to come and tag the minibosses.
DO suicide off cliffs if it means where you spawn is close to the next miniboss.
2. Out in the open world during the match there are still simple ethics to abide by.
DO NOT dismount anyone of the opposing faction, this is considered highly rude and is frowned apon by all sides. I expect Trion to implement a PVP immunity while you are mounted shortly in conquest, but while you are still able to be dismounted everyone must be conscious of their aoe.
DO feel free to attack anyone who is dismounted, but if they try and mount, are in a tank spec and tell you to go away or simply run - chasing is not the answer. If they wanted to stay and fight they would have done just that.
DO NOT actively participate in capping points. This only serves to drag matches out, which is good for no one. And besides what are your efforts going to change as just one person.
DO NOT afk in the base, you get kicked far too quickly. On the flip side NO ONE should be reporting anyone "afk". Chances are they are probably just resting in preparation for the final battle.
DO NOT try to capture CM at any stage unless you are on my team, then ONLY try to capture and keep CM and let the other team win fast.
DO NOT do ANYTHING once a team reach 50%. The game is so close to being over, anything you do now might **** it up. So stop.
DO NOT force respawn ever. Still earning favour and prestige while you are dead is clutch, and should not be interrupted.
3. The end game, probably one of the most contentious issues facing us today in conquest and the rules must be stringently followed in order to maximise enjoyment.
DO NOT pop anti planar and attack the idols.
DO pop anti planar and attack Archlich (he has to die after all).
DO run a set course starting in CM and finishing up by Oathsworn tagging maximum idols and the boss on the way.
DO feel free to scare other players by taking them to 50% health, But NEVER kill them - their soul walk might be down.
DO follow the other rules layed out in the guidelines - Especially the demounting rule.
DO attack each other while emoticons while you are riding next to enemy players in this stage - some examples include /poke and /dance.
I think this should clear up a lot of the issues people have been having with conquest and reignite the atmosphere that Trion was intending to create if we all follow this very simple conquest etiquette.
Once everyone has their marks we can go back to enjoying 5 v 5's in warfronts.
Cheers, and get on my level.
