Default Wrath Spikes being removed in 1.9

Grandfathered items in PvP? Better stock up while you can.

    PVP
    * Players no longer drop random loot or consumables.
    * PvP Daily Quests that involve collecting items will now flag you for PvP when updated.
    * Wrath Stone, Mighty Wrath Stone, and Wrath Spikes are no longer available from Templar Whispers and Solomon Dewey. Existing purchased runes will not be affected.
    * Reduced the notoriety requirements to Honored for purchasing Shoulder slot runes from Templar Whispers and Solomon Dewey.
    * The achievement description for Warfront Veteran now mentions that Library of the Runemaster will give updates.
    Huh.

I like the removal of random loot. So annoying.
Could care less about the notoriety reduction to Shoulder rune. That's not the painful faction to build notoriety with (IMO).

I wonder if the note about Wrath Spikes just means they're moving them to a different vendor? Maybe they just shouldn't be able to be applied to PvE weapons ... that might be a partial fix to the PvE BiS issue we have now. People would still run around with crystals, but maybe the weapons would at least match up.

I'm wondering if this is going into War PA T2... I agree, complete removal is stupid. But if everyone will have it as a passive bonus, then it'd make sense.

If PA couldn't just be maxed out by tickling dragons it would make sense.

Raiding is quite possibly the least effective way to get PA in the game.

    EDIT: Oh yeah, fishing.

Don't recall saying it was the best. It just comes easier with the style of play.

I've heard IA is the way to gain fast PA. After you do your daily random Expert queue that is. I haven't actually tried IA yet ... I'm still trying to hit P40.

Its probably because all the kids with PvE staffs complained, because clearly that is a huge issue...

EI IAs are definitely the fastest if you can get a pretty full raid and luck out with the Sourcewell Defence 'final stages'. Sometimes you'll get the really tedious and annoying steps, but as long as you get a good run of 'kill x mob' stages they're good money.

I just get bored with IAs quickly.

No it comes easier with doing things specifically for PA (IAs, dailies), which a raider or a PvPer could equally do. For the record as a raider I rarely bother with IAs because they aren't that interesting.

I've got a good stockpile personally but this is a STUPID ***** change that once again will benefit PvEers more than PvPers.
