    Default Trion should stop trying to aim for any class balance in PVP.

    Balance between classes will never be achieved in rift until Trion addresses the underlying unbalance between range and melee classes. They did one, just one thing right on this matter in the way that they made MM's. MM's rely on speed and evasion for survivability but the rest of the range classes are not so lucky. Range classes simply can't reliably control melee, which is their main survivability, due to the terrible DR system. This means the good range players, who play perfectly, can be easily killed by an awful melee player who got hit by something before charging and is then on superman mode. Even in duels this system just feels broken, there's no other way I can describe it.

    DR came about from the opness of CC abilities at the start, mages for instance still have 5 CC abitilities in some of their souls, most of which are totally useless now. Would it not make more sense to give each player 1 - 3 CC's that they know they can rely on rather than 5 useless ones? Does any serious range players play this game and how do you feel about dieing to terrible players purely due to the DR system? Why shouldn't it be possible to be chain CC'd by a well co-ordinated group? Wouldn't that make the game more interesting and increase skill cap in pvp?

    nerf rift walk

    CC break with effectively 3 second cooldown. How is this still in the game?

    The same way rogues get 4 ports for dipping 22 points into a tank spec.

    EWWWWWW!!! Gross.....when you said Chain CC it made me wince with disgustoid kooties. Sorry bro but that idea hit the toilet about 10 mins ago...

    And put a 5 second Cd between rogue ports while your at it

    Anyone who uses RS ports more than once within five seconds is probably pretty bad.

    Rogue attacks. mage uses 1 min knockback to create distance, rogue ports, mage flickers, rogue ports, mage uses another knockback, rogue ports, mage uses 2 min offence tool to create distance. Rogue ports. Same can be applied for warriors
    CC ie Squirrell isnt worth a damn as they can port out of the first one

    Playing cleric it really does seem like rogues got the luck of the draw when it comes to moves, never played one at 50 but you will never see cleric DPS doing what rogues are allowed to do

    Bottom line, Trion gave certain melee builds FAR too many gap closers than most, if not all, ranged builds can compete with. Worse, many of the gap closers for melee remove most forms of CC.
    But at least we can get married now!
