    Default I figured out why they're so hated

    Riftstorm

    Riftwalk

    What do they have in common?

    They both have "Rift" in the title.

    It's only natural that you'd hate them.

    Ha!

    I also think it has more to do with 100% time on target, total CC immunity combined with the best burst in the game on the shortest CD timer that doesn't require anything more than pressing three buttons, also you're spreading an AOE uncleansable healing debuff.

    Funny thread though.

    But i heard its hard for warriors to get into melee?

    Change it to rainstorm.
    Causes gentle rain to fall on the target, ruining their day..... emotionally.

    Rain hits [target] for 0 damage.
    You lose motivation to play.
    [Target] has left the battle.

    Rogue ->. Constant uptime on the target due to damage at 30 meters. Eradicate and ranged AOE with fan out. Muliplte abilities to kite. Damage the same as warriors but at 30 meters.

    Pathetic really. Honestly. We have about had it. One more nerf to warriors and we outta here. It is just stupid. Besides, to many games are coming out for Trion to cater to people like you. We are starting to not even care anymore.

    Our class can faceroll so we lie about the 2 buttons we push to kill players 3 at a time. We deflect everything to Rogues. QQQQQQQQQQQQQQ

    When you figure for LoS, Warriors actually have more uptime on targets than ranged classes.

    Yeah, Marksmen do, and unlike Warriors, you can't toss OTD, Retreat, Shadow Shift, Static Shot, Repelling Shot, and Quick Reload into one giant macro. It actually takes borderline skillful play. The amount of hoops I have to jump through to kill a dude spamming two buttons is exponentially more difficult than anything you'll ever have to do, and I'm a Marksman. There are classes that have it way worse--Warriors always bring up Marksman as an example of kiting ad infinitum--not all RDPS are MMs. Anything that isn't an MM won't be able to kite a Warrior if the Warrior has two brain cells to rub together.

    Ease of capability to dish out damage can make it seem like a spec that does less damage than another actually does more.

    People say MM are insane damage. Tbh a 51bd or 51nb, two of the pure mostly open combat oriented melee souls hit way harder if they are up in your face than a MM is imo. The problem is what I said, ease of capability to do damage. No-body has it 'easier' to do damage than MM/mages. 20m is nice but even NB's melee range damage is quite more vicious than the 20m filler, even though it is decent still at range for what it brings.

    I see the same with warriors though, their ease of doing damage is not as easy but when they are up in your face, properly spec'd they are knocking you out way harder than a MM probably. It is kind of too bad a pure 51bd has such god awful gap filler capability and pretty much blows when out of melee range. A 51bd with the temp that pushes nearly 100% crit rate or the temp that causes the big hitter melee strikes to hit twice and add extra CP. If you don't stop that thing from wailing on you it will decimate. The thing is, all it takes is a few steps and bam, you just messed with the pure consistency. It's much harder to mess with the pure consistency of 30m+ ranged classes. That is why the people who play mostly ranged are surprised by how fast they get destroyed in melee range. As if their range damage is suppose to be that high.

    I was mostly speaking on behalf of rogues and warriors as obviously mages don't have a 'higher damage melee spec' option. But, that is different in comparing a calling with melee/range roles opposed to one with only ranged. Of course the one with only ranged will probably be made more on par with damage capable of top melee range damagers. It's almost like they balanced it by giving those dudes cloth armor, 1.5gcd and more/most casting time abilities. Crazy...its like, theoretical balance or something.
