one of the things swtor did get right is their pvp reward system.in swtor players will be rewarded based on how many players they killed or healing they done etc,u get the reward in form of medals when u kill player and these medals give u extra reward at the end of the match.i think rift can use this system for:
---this system can be used for rank pvp.there should be 2 set of gears one normal (purple) equal to ID normal which can be purchased by favor just like p40 gear.but the second set which is the legendary pvp set (orange)equal to Id legendary,can be purchased by these medals that u r earning by playing actively and effectively during pvp match.
--it makes pvp more fun and rewarding for ppl who are paying attention and playing smartly rather than just queue up for pvp map as much as u can just to get enough favor and prestige so u can get the best gears no matter how good or bad u r. after couple months(or 3 months) of pvp u will get best gear anyways.
--it will also rewarding for players who are playing good but because of their team, they are loosing the match.no matter u lost u at least got medals for being good.
--- some players dont pay attention at all, like some clerics who dont want to heal and they have low dps as well .they dont care because they know they will get favor and prestige any ways,they say ill do 10 pvp match a day and after 3 months i have best pvp gear as well,most of the pve players coming to pvp are playing like this coz they dont care this will solve the issue of such players as well.
