    Default How would the Queue "matcher" handle this?

    Your task: create a well balanced warfront of 20 players, 10 per side, from a pool of the following players:

    Defiant (11 waiting):
    -- Level 29 with gear score 89 (out of 100)
    -- Level 25 with gear score 70
    -- Level 26 with gear score 77
    -- Level 23 with gear score 70
    -- Level 29 with gear score 60
    -- Level 28 with gear score 90
    -- Level 29 with gear score 99
    -- Level 24 with gear score 50
    -- Level 25 with gear score 52
    -- Level 29 with gear score 80
    -- Level 22 with gear score 49

    Guardian( 15 waiting):
    -- Level 29 with gear score 40 (out of 100)
    -- Level 24 with gear score 30
    -- Level 20 with gear score 15
    -- Level 23 with gear score 18
    -- Level 29 with gear score 60
    -- Level 24 with gear score 40
    -- Level 22 with gear score 24

    As an engineer I don't see the logistical benefit for balancing a dynamic system around a subset that doesn't represent even a majority of the population, i.e. 90% of the game's content is balanced around end game not level 20-30

    also, what's a gear score?

    seriously though, if this is another thread leading into "omg twinks ruin my wf experience" I'm going to vomit. Just get to P40, all it takes it like 500 wins, or 1000 losses. Seriously, you can afk to P40, and then talk about balancing the system most of the game cares about ;)

    tl;dr mercs, shuffle players around (assuming all are solo) just like you'd do in kickball, spread the stellar athletes out (gear + PvP score from leaderboards), evenly distribute the fat kids (bad gear, low score from leaderboards)

    If only the merc system really would shuffle players that way.

    But it doesn't. As a well-geared guardian I am constantly one of the few decently geared players on my PuG team, even when there are clearly a few on the Defiant side that SHOULD be merc's as Guardians to even out the match.

    When the match is over, you can sort by damage/KBs and find about 2 or 3 players that should have been "swapped" before the travesty of a match even began.

    Clearly the "matcher" does not look at gear, which is ridiculous when a well-geared play can hit for twice the damage, and take half the damage. Talk about an advantage!

    I am a perfect example. As soon as I XP locked and got top gear, I started dominating warfronts. Often top damage and KBs, and always in the top 3. I didn't get any more skilled, that's for sure.
