    Default Why rift PVP Fails

Nobody wants to spend 3 months playing nonstop to become viable in non ranked matches/open world pvp. Sure, I love pvp but after awhile of getting owned in open world and getting owned in non ranked warfronts, I have started to hate pvp. It'd be much more fun if I didn't have to grind gear to be viable.

Rift is a gear based game.

    Deal with it.

Rift probably isn't for you then. I'd say "can I have your stuff" but you don't have any.

I work full time. I have 3 cats and a brat to look after. I went from r1 to r40 in 5 weeks.

Why people think it takes a long time is beyond me. Guess the thread wouldn't have as much QQ appeal, if it wasn't full of blatant exaggeration.

Take advantage of your pots and bonus weekends. Gear up, and stop whining.

Even 5 weeks is too much grinding. I should be able to be competitive from the get go

    In an MMO?

    Which MMO does that?

Hell even GW you need to grind skill points and certain skills to be optimal.

For example, there is no grind that comes with pve. I dont have to grind t2s when i hit 50 to be raid ready, At most, i'll need about 6-8 t2s. which is around 3 hours.
PVP should be based on skill. Not gear. in ranked matches I usually lead damage and killing blows, but non ranked I don't even come close.

Yeah I agree. We should be able to raid HK the minute we hit 50 too.
Actually it would make much more sense to just start at level 50 fully geared don't you think? All that pesky time spent leveling, such a waste of time.

If being nice obscures your honesty, you're not a very smart person.

Same people come in and shoot down people with valid complaints with the same old shield of internet anonymity. There's no need to be surreptitious, when you guys are just consistently cruel. Sarcasm is more than enough for me. :3
