Default PvP servers aren't for me

Why is there rez sickness? It's bad enough that 5 people camp the rez spot. too much downtime.. gotta group. Carebear all the way I guess. I love the WF's, but the contested zones, not really fun.

I've always thought PvP servers were pretty pointless. Your just rolling on a server where you can be camped or griefed. There is really no point to it, it doesn't make you better, it gets old fast...

However some people prefer them, especially people that like to PvP a lot and it seems like the majority of kids play on PvP servers too.

I enjoy PvP, but I don't enjoy playing on PvP servers. I can run warfronts when I feel like PvP, and then if I need a break from PvP, or I need to go out and gather for consumables, I can do that in peace and just enjoy myself.

i think they should maybe consider changing the game from Rift to Rogue.

Ember Island open world PvP around event bosses and the 3 zone PvP Dailies on Briarcliff are pretty much always fun times.

We have an active PvP community here that enjoys fighting each other. sometimes it is passionate and gritty. sometimes it is chill and laid back even to the point of sometimes seeing dueling while waiting for the Marikis plants to spawn.

I have never been spawn camped and I am out there a lot between war fronts, raiding and grinding sourcewells.

The PvP servers were pretty cool in the beginning, but because there was no focus, people had to make their fun where they could and unfortunately that eventually included camping noobs and killing lowbies.

They should have made a real effort on the pvp servers, PvP is kind of an afterthought as it stands. I'd love if they made a zone specifically for pvp with real objectives and/or rewards for participants. Oh, and most of the people I played with on the pvp servers weren't kids, and they always said the kids/carebears rolled PVE...

Why is there 4 minutes of Rez sickness with no healer in EI near the PvP daily? As if being spawn camped by 5 rogues isn't bad enough.. let's just take half your stats for 4 minutes.

Serious question, how do you guys actually get spawn camped?

Are you determined to not pay the 10g to repair? Are you getting killed next to a graveyard? Are you too lazy to run to your corpse and getting spawn camped at the graveyard? PvP servers are kind of cool if you ask me. I haven't found anything I can't do on a pvp server that I can on a PvE server. Maybe in all my time I've been muscled out of 2 - 3 zone events because I was trying to be slick and tag the boss only at the end. Otherwise, it's exactly like a PvE server except every now and then you see someone and you can kill them. I rarely die in overworld though. I have fun making it a point to try and never die. Course it happens every now and then

There is no healer near this particular place. When you die it leaves a tombstone which is camped. Should you resurrect using the tombstone you're killed instantly. If you rez at the spirit, which is also camped, you have 4 minutes of half stats and are also killed instantly. There is literally no way out other than to hang out as a ghost waiting and watching until they leave.. but they can go into stealth as well and 99.9% of the players are rogues so... it's just lame. PvP servers could be cool if it weren't for this. All one can do is log off as a ghost and kiss that character's playtime for the day goodbye.

And you're an R8 Rogue, go figure. You can just stealth and play around any perceived threats. Try playing a class that's actually vulnerable. Try playing a healer on a PvP server where you have to depend on people to do your damage for you. I chose the class and I can live with it, but this is just bad design as it traps a person for extended periods and I'd call it greifing. If I were a rogue I'd just rez, stealth, run over the first hill, buff and heal, then go about my business.

Been on Seastone basically for a year. This has never happened to me. Not once. Preventative measures go a long way. Sounds like an l2p issue. Generic arrogant comment. More generic you're bad comment.

Oh snap the answer was right there all the time, l2p!! Clearly you're so awesome the very game mechanics don't hold you back.

    1. Rez at tombstone and be slaughtered.
    2. Rez at Spirit w half stats and be slaughtered.
    3. Stand there as a ghost.
    4. /camp as ghost and /QQpost on forums hoping to attract l2p comments.

    5. Rez at the Soul Technician, then spend the money on fixing the damage to your soul, drink up and go fight.
