    Default Problem with silence diminish

    I've tested this thoroughly
    Currently the diminish on silence is 22 seconds.
    It suffers a 50% penalty after first application.
    With the original duration 8 seconds and second application 4 seconds.
    This allows for a player to be silenced 12/22 seconds.
    60% uptime?!

    The problem is the duration starts count at the first application.
    There is no penalty for a entire group to spam silence on a player.
    Because it doesn't reset the diminish duration for each faulty application.
    The sheer amount of silences in pvp are enough to keep this active on a player 100%.
    Given this is partly do to the common pvp specs having them atm.

    This supports zerg ganking only.
    You must also account for the amount of cc's out there that aren't silence.
    Imo if a group perfectly coordinates cc on one player they should have no more then a 30% uptime.
    (excluding non dmg incapacitate's like squirell,mez,sleep)

    Easy fix:
    diminish counter resets at last application
    Even if player is still immune to effect
    This will discourage zerg ganking vs encouraging it

    If you get ganked by a group you should at least have a chance to fight back
    maybe kill 1-2, theres really no reason to have cc designed to support the outnumbering group.

    i would like to see DR not continually be reapllied to some 1 that is ammune thus reseting the DR on them to immune and the full duration. (imo this is bull)

    Won't effect you unelss your ganking solo players in a group.
    the immunity would expire b4 your next application.

    As the forums trolls don't seem to care :P
    Many players in game are voicing concern about this still.
    Complete loss of control effects with no penalty are capping pvp skill too low.

    Up against 4 or more players you'll see a nearly 100% cc uptime
    Zerg +one button = win

    Whats stopping you from implementing something like a counterspell system from nwn.
    (Not saying implement that exact system)
    Any cancelling ability should be a match of speed and strategy.
    Complete loss of control is just cheese.
