Default What do you consider a win in WFs?

The obvious answer is, of course, to complete the objectives and win. The less obvious answer is to end with more prestige.

This weekend w/ Port Scion, this has come up in conversations, and I was curious how others feel.

Is the satisfaction of competing the objectives more important to you, or earning greater prestige? Or perhaps something else?

It is not about winning or losing. It is about having fun.

You can win without having any fun.

You can lose but still have fun.

    It's a game. It's entertainment.

I consider it a win if my team wins. Losses where your team earns more favor than the opposition are pretty rare.

    winning the match is preffered.

i dont mind losing if i can say i performed well.

having fun whichever way it goes is the entire point, everything else is details

If you have more prestige/favor you win.

    exceptions though:

    - small grey area where if you still need prestige I think you can have more favor but lose and end up a tad short on prestige compared to the other team. Not going to math it out but I think there is a small margin where you will have more favor but not quite more prestige if you take a loss with a ton of kills.

    - if you still need faction you'll probably desire a win more than a loss.

Otherwise...you can lose but, if you are the one with more favor/prestige you tilted the scale with raw brutality and kills. This is only cause you get rewards though. If this were an FPS ya, a win would be a win hands down everytime.

If I have more kills then the other team, then im winning. I dont care about objectives, I avoid them at all costs.

I play warfronts to PVP, not PVE by doing objectives. WTB Arena - Kill the other team, and its game over.

1000 to 970 or 970 to 1000 games that are so awesome that a bunch of people on both sides yell "GG" to the other team and you quit for the night after it because you want to leave on a high note and you tell your gaming friend about it the next day because it was just that epic.

    That's a win

Lol, I had to laugh at this. It is pretty easy to get burned out depending on when I play and end up feeling like I'm losing whether we win or lose.

It's been getting worse - used to be a case of playing on through, knowing that awesome match would be around the corner...get your heart pumping...rawr and all that.

They're fewer and fewer these days.

Mostly, this. Pushing back the other team 3-4 times from your boss then winning on full time 989-976? Yes, please. Or maybe someone would consider that a bad team but it was thrilling nevertheless.

This weekend was an exception though since i needed Noble Guard rep for the mount (my 'fast' Murdantix is getting nerfed to attuned in 1.5), so i preferred fast matches. ~9k rep per hour was just too nice to pass on.
