    How do you get 50% increase from 30 increasing to 40?

    escalation gives 30 normal it gives 40 now

    nah they changed escalation to be 50% last week, making wins worth only 900 instead of 1200.

    so it depends on how they calculate it

    adding the 2 bonuses together to make 100% would be 40 per kill

    multiplying both bonuses one at a time would be 45 per kill (20 * 1.5 * 1.5)

    A normal kill is worth 20 pts.

    Escalation = +50%
    1/2 Year Celebration = +50%


    50% + 50% = 100%.

    And the Answer is....
    "20 + 100% more"

    so 50% additive and nothing for objectives

    why don't make it a 10% bonus on everything instead, that's all it is

    They are trying to encourage players to kill other players more.

    I rather think it's the reverse: they have all the data, and see the same thing all of us with a functioning brain see - a bunch of people who care more about kill count than the maps objectives. If they only put the bonus on objectives to encourage people to play the map "properly" they would drown in the tears of noobs. So, they instead apply the incentive to what those people want to do anyway.

    Conveniently, the bonus spills over somewhat to those of us actually trying to win.

    Although on the other hand, one has to recognize that if your team beats the unholy snot out of the other team so bad they sit in their spawn, you also win.

    I'm not sure I agree with that. I mean you have to keep in mind there are PvP servers and one of Trions goals was to encourage Open World PvP. Well, the problem with OWPVP is that it doesn't have objectives, so a bonus on objectives does nothing to encourage this... but a bonus on kills most certainly does.
