    Seems like it's been going down like...

    valor + healing is too powerful so nerf healing (effectively a -valor to everyone)
    high valor vs low valor is incredibly one sided so they nerf damage modifiers (pretty much giving everyone a valor boost)
    certain skills too powerful against low-valor opponents so direct nerfs to the skills which simultaneously makes them extra mega horrible on high valor opponents

    next step is healing + valor will be too strong again...

    ...and the wheel will spin round and round, digging the hole deeper and deeper

    and then hit/focus being incredibly effective in pvp while not even being a pvp stat
    Always nice that all the top rank pvpers want high end pve weapons for more effectiveness

    is it getting close to time to just rework pvp entirely before it becomes too corrupted to even be recognizable?

    I mean, they keep trying to nudge the scales this way or that to achieve balance... why not just make the pvp damage reduction a server wide pvp thing that affects everyone? It's a lot easier to nudge one number up and down based on current gear levels. They're trying to balance something that's incredibly off balance by design as it is right now.

    Valor needs to just die... Could make toughness(crit damage reduction to those that don't know) a pvp viable stat(at a lower rate than in pve of course) and put some hit on pvp gear and up the endurance or even put some various resistances on them.
    There are so many ways to make pvp statted gear that doesn't just shatter the world

    CC immunities need to be reworked a lot too, almost at a skill by skill level. Some things like a charge taking someone to 2/3 immune when your just trying to catch up or small procs making people immune to true cc, It's really in a sad state

    also on an unrelated note... fix lingering dust!!!

    Honestly, I dont think they know how to fix it.. It would require a complete makeover of the game and sadly this aint happening.

    I suppose I can see it that way. Only difference is it's never gonna get to the part where the boot tips the kettle to fill the coffee cup.

    It's off balance so badly that any correction they make in one area creates disparity somewhere else.

    There are tons of fixes though that are perfectly viable though. The most obvious and simple would be

    removing valor and replacing it with a global "if you are pvp flagged outgoing damage -X% incoming healing -Y%" which would be the easiest fix since they can just up those numbers if needed whenever a new tier of gear is released. this would have the benefit of making gear more of personal choice with things like a pvp ring being str/dex/end/crit VS a pve ring being like str/dex/hit/crit

    making it so all pvp gear has same valor and only difference is the other stats. so difference between rank 2 and rank 8 is basically difference between t1 and t4 on practice dummy. Suppose valor would have to have a bit of a -healing component as well in this scenario. Something like this would have the benefit of basically forcing pvp gear which is what pvpers seem to want.
    By the looks of the r7/8 gear, it seems one of the designers figured this one out but forgot to do it in the other direction too


    The whole problem seems to be a pvp mmo downfall of creating pve and then adding pvp as an afterthought. Balancing a game around the pvp numbers then creating the pve encounters around those numbers would be the only way to fully balance a game properly. It just doesn't work the other way around

    how would splitting the Ranks do?

    R1 to 3
    R4 to 6
    R7 to 8,9...etc.

    and once you gain a new prestige your listed to que into a new rank of WF's, i'm just not sure how they'd really lock you out of lower Ranks. Just a thought. please feel free to reply.
