    Default Total mitigation cap 75%?

    I read somewhere that there is a total mitigation cap of 75%? Any input on this and please refer to a source if confirming. If so it will mean that more than 700'ish valor for a shield warrior would be a waste?

    Note, that it was only in regard to Pure Damage - not Armor, Spell Resistance, nor Valor.

    However, you can see in the 1.2 notes that it is not listed there: http://forums.riftgame.com/official-...1-5-11-eu.html

    Nor was it mentioned in the 7 Hot Fixes after 1.2 and prior to 1.2.1. Then again, it was not mentioned in 1.2.1 nor the 5 Hot Fixes that came after that. It did not appear in the 1.3 notes nor the 16 Hot Fixes that followed. Finally, it was not mentioned in 1.4 nor the 2 Hot Fixes since.

    So as far as the patch notes are concerned, the 75% cap on Pure Damage Mitigation was never actually implemented in the game.

    That's because the game really hasn't even started yet. People are still surprised when they see 2000 crits ect. That 75% cap is for further down the road and big numbers. For now all the other skills like parry ect seem to be scaling decently so a flat mitigation isn't needed to buffer insanely high burst. It would have kept pyros from getting nerfed at the beginning tho >.>
