    Default Risk free PvP rogues

    Just expressing my personal frustration with this design. For the immediate haters, yes I have a 50 assasin. With perma stealth, hidden veil, cleanse soul, and slipaway there is no risk to me to kill players in open PvP. If I run into a toon that I can not kill in first 4 seconds then boom, I am gone. No risk

    Now with all the recent love to rogues, more and more high RR players getting bored with the one sided scenarios and the world is getting filled more and more with this. I have heard some of the usual arguments. Call in your guild to help! Why? You can not find them and even if you did manage to catch them in the act of killing someone, boom, they are gone. No risk. Now add in the bad mechanics of guards in towns and it is an even bigger issue

    In answer to the inevitable "Oh my PvP happened" it is not the pvp. My main is a warrior. I have a fair amount of fights in the open world. Win some, loose more (no I am not a real good PvPer I admit), but when getting jumped by other classes at least they have some risk. I may have all my cooldowns up and actually win the fight. Rogues, nope, fight goes bad, boom they are gone, no risk. Over all perma stealth with 100% chance of escape any time they want to me personally i simply bad design

    Say what you will about Darkfall Online, they excluded stealth and the plethora of lame CC's; stuns, mezzs, etc. because in a PvP game that stuff just simply sucks.

    DAoC was like World Of Mezz

    RIFT has taken it far beyond.

    Problem is these are examples of PvE games with a PvP component. Darkfall, as an example, is a PvP game with PvE components. There is a huge difference and appears to come with the territory.

    I dont understand all these complaints. If he didn't die and you didn't die, where is the problem? The fight was a draw. Just pretend it never happened.

    Not all Rogues as Assassins btw.

    Not that it helps every single time, but depending on the rogues build, try putting a bleed up on them and keeping it up. That will knock them out of slip away after the immunity period ends.

    Yes, the draw is the problem. It's a fight that the assassin can't lose, no matter what happens. Does that seem slightly unfair to you too?

    Not if STEALTH is what we are specializing in.

    We didn't specialize in HEALING, or PLATE ARMOR, or even FULMINATE, we picked STEALTH.

    STEALTH is our weapon, stop getting mad that we are using it.

    i love it when people are arguing about open world pvp and then some guy brings up Darkfall pvp like it ****ing matters at all to this conversation...

    lol who gives a god damn about darkfall, this isnt a sandbox!!

    Are you serious??

    This argument that rogues should not have stealth or the ability to vanish is so old, so out of touch with the idea of a rogue that you should perhaps go play a shooter.

    A Rogue is ALL about stealth, take that away and they are a weak, squishy, easy meat of a kill as there ever was in a PVP environment.... but maybe that's what you want, an easy kill.

    You forgot the part where if you get focused, you're like wet tissue paper that already has perforations. Cool, no risk once every 2 minutes? You must be a great help to your team, stealthed, waiting for Slip Away to come off CD.
