    Default A solution to valor

    I've been advocating legendary weapons for pvp for a while, so why not implement a r7 and/or high favor weapon(s) that counter valor. Example: instead of draining hp(fang of the life lord) it ignores valor and has the same exact stats, minus the hit of course.
    The purpose of pvp gear is to give an advantage to players that have pvp'd more. So, why not implement this, so all classes are on equal footing once they've earned all there is to earn, because it's no secret that a cleric gains a much larger advantage from valor than a rogue.

    The issue is it gives a disproportionate buff to certain souls over others at r6. R6 mages have a 45% reduction in GoS. Even after GoS is nerfed by 10% their total reduction will now be 50% due to the valor bonus. Dps classes that aren't ranged don't exactly get the same advantage as mages and clerics. So my solution to this is to make it so that all high ranked pvper's are on the same level. By nullifying all bonuses when both players are in the highest possible tier of gear.

    Yeah... So when some people reach r7 everyone can use PvE gear in PvP again, since valor suddenly means jack-****.

    Just no.

    So they will have more reduction after it is nerfed?

    It is kind of entertaining to read some of these threads.

    Oh, because everyone and their mum will have reached r7? The valor would still give you an advantage over people you outrank.

    I can't tell if your mocking my post, or laughing at the increase in reduction. Just in case I'll spell it out. A r6 pyro ATM has: 30% reduction from GoS and a 15% reduction from valor. = 45%
    In 1.2 since they are doubling valor: that same r6 pyro would have a 20% reduction from GoS and 30% from valor = 50%
    now this is assuming they stack additively, but regardless the mitigation has gone up, not down.

    The main issue with "DMV's Awesome Blade of Pyromancer Slaying" is when that weapon is used on somebody that is not a Pyro...

    ...it is like saying that certain bugs have become resistant to Raid, time to break out some thermonuclear devices.

    I'm only suggesting that weapons strip the effect of valor, not all shields. This is just to prevent massive mitigation that gives an undenyably more significant boost to some classes, clerics and mages, than others.

    Also, I'll buy a lifetime subscription for a legendary weapon named that.

    Valor is our solution. Fights in this game are way way too quick. I even think valor should be bumped up even more after this patch and no weapon should strip its effects.

    lol what does valor have to do with balance? All classes get the same amount. Pyros are op with or without valor. If you want to balance then you fix the class. Every class has defensive buffs that would stack onto valor not just clerics and mages.
