    Default where did world pvp go?

    Dayblind world = ghost town.

    It's just a server of Guardians in Sanctum queuing for WF's and Defiant in Meridian queueing for WF's.

    and oh yea, experts..... more instances in a massively multi-player online game...

    god i loathe WoW so much for ruining MMO's

    At least on my server it went to **** since all the kiddies and their moms had to roll defiant.

    Waiting for them to QQ about rolling on a PvP server and not having world pvp...

    wow isn't the first MMO to give us these chicken **** versions of a pvp server . granted pvprs arent the main stream for mmo's , but we do populate these games . when they give us pvp servers we expect open pvp, item loss on death , minimal guards in the city , and places to conquer .

    seems like an easy fix, give us a real pvp server .
    Remove all PVP from PVE servers . they're not PVP'rs , they are the bane of PVP'rs and PVP servers .

    Remove WF's from PVE servers, because they suck at pvp and as a result cause unjust nerfs to classes .

    No new instanced PVP , give us world PVP objectives. do not add arena's or more WF's please . Except ADD THIS ONE WF

    Make all PVP gear craftable and get rid of the WF faction vendors .

    pvp isnt suppose to be about gear . pve is suppose to be about gear ...and grinding that same ****ty instance over and over again for that gear .
    pvp is suppose to be about the other part of the game ...war and hatred for the opposite faction .
    and pve servers are for the players who don't want to be a part of the war

    quick rewards = war fronts

    It would take years to earn favor and gear for PvP in the World.

    Gear Games are just what they are. Not much you can do about it.

    Check out ArcheAge though. It is sure to have world PvP only when it releases.

    On some shards, the population is obviously a lie. What used to be a low is now called medium, and it is kind of funny. With the RoS event, if the Defiants and Guardians did not work together - it simply would not have gotten done on Carrion - a PvP shard.

    It is more common to find "enemies" working together to close Rifts than it is to find them killing each other. That is - if you actually ever see somebody in the wild - most folks are just sitting in a capital waiting on WFs or they are running instances.

    Bottom line is:
    Most people aren't playing to grank or kill anyone doing PvE.
    Most people don't enjoy camping bodies and ruin others' gaming experience.
    What is World PvP in this game beside mess granking and kill someone who don't want to pvp over a small reward?
    Unless Dev create PvP zone with PvP objective + PvP reward(so that ppl will go there), There is no such thing as world PvP in this game.

    I dunno what you mean, on spitescar we're pretty much always murdering eachother in stillmoor

    Shimmersands is a little worse for it, but in stillmoor we literally just pound eachother's faces in, we have a good healthy server rivalry going on

    Maybe if you don't see any you should try initiating some That's what I do, it's led to some pretty epic fights over Zareph's return and grudge matches over major rifts.

    Think of runescape, on the servers that is chosen for pvp everyone on that server has access to a spot specifically made for pvp. Runescape wasn't all the same levels but look at why we need to here for populated world pvp.

    We need all players to be able to run and hold their own in stillmoore (rank 1 pvp), with this in place people are doing rifts to get their reusable stays on during death potions (these are in demand now), now everyone being level 50, you wont have 4/5ths of the playerbase running around in low level areas unless theya re doing something like foraging for reusables (potions), even then they will probably be in a higher level zones for the higher level pots, unless it was pve for getting low level stuff to butcher for runebreaking which the majority won't be doing at any given time.

    Everyone starting out at level 50 makes everyone, even the people you wouldn't see in stillmoore for a few months due to pve levels on the pvp server, pretty much need the same things when they goto pve ( high level mats for reusables), so instead of having a lot of people messing around with low level pvp items, they might actually start fighting over the high level items, we could even see it to where there's quite a few people on both sides doing rifts that they start fighting over them because they are limited in quantity.Could have explained it better, not fixing the typos if there are any.


    TL;DR

    Too many people messing with lower pve leveled stuff on the endless pve grind in pvp servers to even think about fighting over rifts for the reusable pots that last through death (which should be staples in this type of advantage gain pvp). Not only that, the ones that are leveled for it on pvp servers are also doing dungeons because the prizes are/were superior to pvp gear when they should be on par, and have no reason to get those unless they wanted to, therefore, making pve not a priority to some players who want to be best geared at rank 1 better than prestige 6's. Going out to a rift right now you know if you do find world pvp the chances are going to be a group of oppnents vs you, or 1vs1, not very fun world pvp, might as well work together since it will be the more profitable & fun for both sides.

    Switching to a different profession is no different than starting a new role at 50, Easily learned. Might as well start at Rank 1 PvP on PvP servers.


    Also, the tab targeting needs to be fixed with two things.
    1.) It has no real selected cycle through the enemies in los, it goes randomly through them, it also prioritizes pets.
    2.)It will sometimes tab through, say, 2 pets 6 times (meaning three rotations for two pets) while enemies that are players are in los, it will do this for player targets too (targeting is random with no kind of tab rythm/cycle/order to go through almost full teams of enemies in los). Give players numbers before their names depending on where they are located at in their raid, and let all people know and see these numbers, and tab cycles through those numbers in order to all enemies in range. Then pets if no players are in range.
    3.)I also think minor obstructions that shouldn't, do play a role in who you can tab target, which adds up with the previous problems making it become complicated to target at times.

    We could also use PvP quests that are dailies that give a good amount of prestige and favor for killing something like 75-100 players in rift boundaries (dude these are dailies, and if it's groups vs groups you get kills for kills that you didn't even do, might need to raise numbers even past that or it may be fine).

    If rifts are our world pvp objectives, we need good reasons to go there, the reusables are one but the quests that direct peoples attention to that area will help a tenfold along with everyone on the server being able to do it and compete with the other players by not being out pve leveled.

    Rank 6 should get absolutely nothing. The majority of R6 were just on the dominating side of WFs depending on their battlegroup.

    Rift is a PvE game. Most of us figured that out in Beta.

    There is no point or reward for world PvP in Rift and it's demise was easy to see. I rolled on a PvE server at launch because it was pretty obvious that the PvP servers were going to be ghost towns in a very short time.

    GW2 is the only game coming out that might have decent PvP. Until then you are stuck looking at the same premade over and over in a never ending repeat of WarFront 1, 2, 3 or 4.
