If they don't do something about it, it's back to WoW. The reason our group left WoW was because of the damn botters. If it is more of the same here we'll go back, at least we have tons of max characters.
Report the players doing it. There will always be ways to get around any mechanic they put in place to prevent it. Hopefully the difference between Rift and WoW will be the GM support.

Isn't the solution simple? Just implement the same contribution system for warfronts that is already used for Rifts. If you aren't contributing no xps and no rep.
But, there needs to be contribution points awarded for those who are defending flags. Not fighting doesn't mean not contributing. So the flags in warfronts like the Codex need to have an aura around them where you are awarded contribution points if you are non-afk within the aura.
But then all you'll have is botters running in circles within the flag aura for the xp/rep buff/bonus
It wouldn't be such a big issue if those couple afkers didn't seem to turn the tide. I have yet to win a bg where the 2 same afkers are auto running into walls, but win 75 % of the ones where I don't get them in the match. If there was one gm monitoring pvp for 2 hours out of his day, he would see these same 2-3 guys afking, which makes me find it hard to believe they can't do something. In wow there are millions of players and thousands of afkers, in this game there are probably 30-50 afkers ruining the experience for all the pvpers, ban the pricks IMO.
