    Default Faeblight: <Sacred Fire> A Trifecta Order (RP/PvE/PvP)

    Purpose:
    The Order of the Sacred Fire stands ready to defend the Telara from invasion and attack from the Planar Forces emanating from Rifts and from the zealot efforts of the Guardians.

    History:
    Guild OOC History: Outside of Telara, the Sacred Fire has a considerable history.

    Persefani started the Sacred Fire in 2006 as a refuge for RP'ers in WoW as a split off of an all Paladin guild on Twisting Nether. Growing to about 60 active and individual members, this does not include alts, and joining the Honor Guard Alliance before departing WoW. After the departure of WoW, Persefani merged the Sacred Fire with the other Honor Guard Alliance guilds to form one guild, the Honor Guard, long side Leithlen and Elindor in Warhammer. In Warhammer, the Honor Guard repeated history, forming the Sacred Band alliance and becoming one of the largest, well-organized, and most powerful open-world RvR organization on the server. After a year in Warhammer, many in the guild decided to take up the challenge of carrying the Honor Guard mission into the ruthless world of Agon in Darkfall Online. The Honor Guard persevered in Agon for many months, until bugs and uncorrected imbalances exhausted many. As before, however, many of the Warhammer and Darkfall members kept in touch through a community forum. With the release of RIFT, the Honor Guard chose to go Guardian however; a select few branched off to go Defiant. Deciding on Harrow due to long queues for Sunrest, we saw a real need for RP and public RP. So, Persefani once again lit the flame of the Sacred Fire. We are a friendly group of people who enjoy helping the RP-interested persons to find a place to call home. Free transfers weakened the server requiring us to seek a new home, after trying Sunrest and not finding the RP we hope we would, we moved to Faeblight. We are also very PvP focused in defense. If you want to know why you should join The Sacred Fire just ask any of our members.

    Mission Statement:
    The Orderís primary mission is to defend our lands and the people who dwell within it from invaders of any nature. We stand ready to protect Defiant lands from the threat of the Rifts as well as the zealot efforts of the Guardians who wish to cross us. We are not aggressors, but will defend our own. Our battle is to save the world; Guardians just get in the way.

    The Sacred Fire is an organized and trained Order that focuses on unity and cooperation. While small, the Sacred Fire operates under the premise of quality over quantity. Our foundation is based in teamwork and training. We do not recruit, but are always open for application. We do not have any skill requirements for application, but do expect those that choose to have an open mind, be willing to listen and learn, and possess a primary focus on teamwork and cooperation. Upon joining the Sacred Fire, members are pledging themselves to be a living part of the Order and to the Orderís mission to defend our lands and the people who dwell within it from invaders of any nature.

    With the Eth technology, Bahma resilience, and the Kelari spirits upon us, the Sacred Fire stands ready to combat any and all threats upon Telara Come, stand with us and become truly Ascended.

    Structure:
    The Sacred Fire is an Order style guild organization. ((Think Freemasons meet Templars without religion)) The Order is led by a Consistory with Offers. The core of the Order consists of increasing ranks to a lead commander.

    New members will start out as Sparks. Sparks have two weeks to complete the enlisted requirements posted at the Sacred Fire lodge before they will be promoted to Incinerator.

    Expectations of Members:
    1. Our Order is our our passion. It is expected that when even a small group of similarly ranked members are available, these members should be working together to defend Telera from Guardians and planar forces (Rift invasions). We want to have our presence out in the world bear our colors with us. We are a Roleplay Order. Order communication DOES have to be in at least light RP, as well as all public channels. For clarification please look here.
    2. Listen to the Consistory and Officers.
    3. Always be willing to help other Order members, Defiant citizens and other Defiant Ascended.
    4. Report into the lodge (forums) and check them often for updates.
    5. Read, understand, agree and adhere to all Order Policies.
    6. Attend all Order Ceremonies and Training exercises that you are able to.
    7. Be able to listen in Mumble, speaking is not required, but will increase your participation and fun.
    8. Wear your Order uniform for Meetings and Events. (provided upon full membership rank)

    Enlistment:
    Any soldiers of Order interested in enlisting in the Order of the Sacred Fire should review the Sacred Fire Application Process and be prepared to complete all listed requirements.

    Our Order Rank has reached the 13th level. Below is a look at what our Member Benefits Package includes:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Banner of Rage 3/3
    Banner of Zeal 2/3
    Planar Protection 3/3
    Blood Thirsty 3/3
    Summon Guild Banner 1/1
    Call of Ascended 1/1
    Lucky Penny 3/3
    Foe Hunter 3/3
    Rift Extraction 3/3
    Cache Finder 3/3
    Tithe 1/3
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Now it is time to ask, are you already bored? Is your current guild starting to feel the effects of attrition? People just not around as much as they used to now that they are ‘geared’? Perhaps it is time you evaluate why you’re in RIFT, or any other MMO for that reason.

    What I mean is, if you are just out there to be the first at everything and your only purpose is to “raid”, check back every few months for content. Those that play just for progression will get bored as there won’t be any amusement once progression is complete and the gear has been obtained.

    If you are here to PvP, this game isn’t built for it. Warfronts are repetitive and get boring quick. They become a grind fest in your goal to reach rank 8. See you in 2-3 months when they possibly put something in here that makes PvP interesting.

    Here for only RP? Although it can be a viable way to spend your play time you may need more to entertain yourself. Many people tend to get stuck in a re-occurring static experience.

    Any one of those things, on its own, gets boring. Now, if you are willing to actually do all things, mix and match, keep it fresh and new, then you need a guild that also mixes things up. That is where the Sacred Fire comes in.
    • We won’t be the shard firsts in progression, but we will progress and see content.
    • We won’t AFK warfronts to get prestige rank 8, but we will still group up and we play as a team.
    • We won’t sit around and only create alternative stories for our characters in our role-play, but we will have events.

    Most importantly, we have the members around that are not strangers. We quest together, we rift together, we PvP together, and we dungeon together. You get to know the people you play with and become friends with them. Ask any member and they will tell you the same. Interested in learning more? Visit our Lodge and talk to our officers: Myself, Emersen, or Kadel.

    Sacred Fire is not a new guild. I am not new to leading. I have done this over 7 years now and have some members in the guild that have been with me that long. Almost everyone in the guild are older adults with a real life outside of gaming: jobs, significant others, children and the like. This makes us a casual group.

    This makes us a group that schedules things. Some may say that scheduling things makes us seem too hard core? Does it? If you are a busy adult, wouldnít you like to know when you can get online to get the most out of the couple hours you have free and when to balance that with spending time with the family? My members do. They donít like to get online to stand around and do nothing.

    Recently we moved from Sunrest to Faeblight for more focus on our PvE Progression and our RP. Like any move there is a lull as people get settled, and we get to know the community. We are also taking this time to look into going from 10-man to 20-man content. We are looking for other people that are casual that would like to progress but not feel they need to do it 10-15 hours a week, those that want to learn to RP or already do it frequently. We want to raid, we want to RP, and we want friends to PvP with. If you are interested into looking more into us, see us at our website.
