    Default Raid exploits

''We don't like RIFT raids because you can exploit bosses and they went to WoW''

But take a look at THIS.

The difference is WoW fix major exploits pretty quickly.

How long has Anrak exploit existed? From the beginning of release until today.

The real question is if WoW made the raiders post "I'm sorry" on their forums.

You would need actual raid bosses for people to exploit them

The issue is historically first and foremost a World First Race issue. And because Rift guilds historically dont compete for World First Races in WoW the issue doesnt affect them over there, which doesnt mean it isnt there.

From my perspective MMOs should completly rethink how "World First Races" are handled. They are not in line with modern eSports standards, no streams, everything behind closed doors, xtreme time commitment outside of the raid activity itself and then often over on Day One from PTS to Live transition.

What you're saying is irrelevant. The people that went over to WoW from RIFT will never see a hard mode raid boss fast enough to see any boss that has an exploitable mechanic (the difficulty of WoW raids compared to RIFT is incomprehensible, RIFT is no comparison). As another person has replied, they are pretty quick to address any exploitable issues. And for the record, the exploit that these guilds did on the boss, while it did make the encounter easier, did not break the entire encounter or trivialize it in any way.

So, all of the ex-RIFT players that did move on to WoW, are still justified as that being one of their reasons.

This is nothing new. It's common for world top guilds to exploit bosses. A lot of guilds do it, especially in WoW, it's just that most players never get to see or hear of it, as they keep it a secret and hope that no one will notice.

No, they are expected to do that themselves, it's not just about being the best, it's also about having a good image.
