    Default Todq

On the last boss of TODQ, anychance we can not have her cast storm torrent (or whatever that yellow bar is) at pets? This seems to be a new mechanic since 1.7 or we've just been fortunate not to have so many viable pet dps specs.

    Cheers for your consideration.

Just keep them on passive until after that phase?

I assume you are talking about Storm Blast which is the yellow rectangle she does 6 times, the same yellow rectangle she does in Tower of the Shattered. In both cases this AoE has always been horribly bugged and will kill targets that it doesn't appear on, and has been known to target inanimate objects such as feasts etc.

As a workaround just have the group run in a circle around her continuously during that phase and you will not get hit.

You can always just dps her down to 10% b4 she does that (Archon for flaring power is helpful).

Also a good strategy however it's dependent on having healers that can handle Tempest of Agony solo and of course enough DPS. Beastmaster is a great choice as well for this method because you would be skipping the only melee-unfriendly part of the fight (aside from during the dragon phase which doesn't matter).

Well, I guess I had been lucky running with groups where the dps made the encounter more forgivable.
Last night, we were looking at two rounds of that phase due to horrendously low dps and we all run around hugging the smiley, but the way the blasts were coming...... we'd lose 3 to 4 people every round.

I guess our next trip, leave the feasts outside and try to run petless specs if possible.

    Thanks for your inputs guys.

Try and have the person with the orb do a "stutter" run around the boss, briefly stopping and starting again, reason been that if he has full PA trees maxed out, Conquest Perks maxed etc his run speed will be a lot faster than people who don't have them

At the beginning we had trouble with the fish tank bugging, but if you just stay together(even the tank) you will be fine..Just have someone running the orb who know's what they are doing.

You can melee the dragon in the dragon phase during the breath attack. The dragon has a really big hitbox.

This. My group wiped to that thing so many times until we realized how often it was targeting pets/banners/feasts. After deciding to just run the circle around her nonstop(and ignore the targeting box) the only deaths we've had were from people getting to far ahead/behind the group. If people still get hit just need to practice moving as a stack.

Yeah, I've played bladedancer the last couple runs on this boss, and have been able to keep DPSing 100% of the fight except for the Storm Blast phase. In the dragon phase with the breath attack it's trivial to get behind her breath and just keep hitting as you follow it.

Yeah you can, and i prefer Archon over Beastmaster tbh. Dunno, being a mage just favor mages :P

Just have the tank lag behind the group, on the outskirts of the bubble, she nearly always will aim it at the tank; the raid is ahead and bingo

Do you know about how much DPS your group needs in order to get Typheria down without having to do the bubble-running part?

More than anyone can do at current gear levels, though its getting close. Don't know if anyone will get it done before the next tier, but might be doable with T3 PA.

But I've heard that groups are already doing that? They're tanking her where she spawns, DPSing her down and ignoring the idols and adds to get her into the dragon phase. No?
