Default Buff... Raid Frozen Eclipse Gear

Could we have a second pass at raid gear please?

It's kind of sad when the so called best PvE gear (epic/relic versions) in the game is less optimized than a crafted 200pt purple.

Also what happened to double bonus stats?

There used to be +SP/AP and +SC/PC on gear. Now its just +SP, +SC or +CP.

Please buff the best PvE gear in the game to make them actually worth wearing. Thanks.

Trion wanted people to see more content, and faster, this time around. Making a few craftable items BIS to get people into raids within the first week was a smart move. Not *all* crafted gear is as good as you're saying.

Armour pieces have never really been the main attraction to raiding though, so don't get too upset. There's achievements, esteem and plenty of sick weapons to get in the upcoming raids.

Itemization on the armor pieces are terrible, at least for rogues.

Its bad for the dps set, but at least there's 4 pieces that you would use... even if you have to skip the cheapest pieces because the crit on them is summarily worthless compared to even some expert blues.

... but for the tank set, its ridiculous. There aren't even 4 pieces of mark gear with deflect on it... and some of the ones who do have less endurance than crafted pieces with a blue SL augment. But you'd have to use them anyway if you want 4 piece bonus for tanking... and the bit of extra armor.

It seems so extraordinarily strange for there to be so many choices in gear sprinkled through the expert dungeons (blue gear of every stat variety for every slot) only to be met with poorly itemized raid vendor items.

Crit is valued at a 2:1 ratio to ap/sp on items... which is somewhat ballpark for the old level 50 gear. Flat crit's value has devalued so much in SL that items with crit made with the old stat weights are absolute junk compared to equivilant items with cp or ap/sp.

But its apparently everywhere for us. It hasn't been all that long and we're already having raid loot rot that gets sharded for dreaming stars because no one wants the crit-based junk.

Don't get me wrong, we are too. I did the 10 man today, the first 3 drops were all Cleric items with crit power and spell crit. Sharded each of those.

I agree that the itemization is pretty bad, but lucky that the items that are the best are easily accessible and not from farming a specific expert boss, right?

Yeah current itemization blows, crit chance is good amiright?

Seriously, change the raid pieces to at least AP and CP with some crit thrown in somwhere for warriors, not all this pure crit chance bollox, unless you double all the current values of crit chance on gear it will remain trash.

Relic upgrades also kind of need to be a bit bigger on items as if you're going to have to put in the work doing hard modes and what not, they should feel rewarding.

If they increased the stats on raid gear then they would have to increase the difficulty of future bosses aswell. So im happy with this idea. At the moment it doesnt really matter if you are in expert or raid gear when fighting Crucia, since the stats does not differ that much. Perhaps we would get some nice timeconsuming progressive raiding if fights were more raid gear dependand.
