Gelidra
Has anyone noticed the Galvanic Stormbirds of the Gelidra encounter meleeing random people during the fight this evening? Almost every pull we had 1 or more people die from a 20k melee hit before Arcbound Storm from each bird. Was something that definitely was not happening to us last week and was curious if other guilds were seeing this.

I only died to Arcbound Storm. Then we killed it. Nothing unsusual here

Pro tip.
Birds have proximity aggro.
Having tanks between the raid and the birds helps alot.
What changed is that they only hit Players now.
Note: I have not seen the fight this patch since im EU.

You guys may be experiencing Frostblood Shards and not adds.
The mechanic we're struggling with is Wrath of the Storm. During the add phases of the fight, we're seeing people taking 3 ticks of Wrath of the Storm basically on top of each other, essentially one-shotting people. I assume we're doing something wrong, just haven't figured it out yet.
As for the adds, their auto attack is proximity based and the Arc Blast channel goes on a random person that you can't control and just have to heal through.

If I'm not mistaken, it's just a spammed 6 second cast followed by a 6 second channel that does 10k damage to 3 raid members every tick, no? WTB End FTW.
With the Wrath of Storms ability during the air stage i would use raid cool-downs to reduce the risk of members being one shot during that phase. 61 point tactician can provide the raid a raid CD for example or use a rogue tank for the increased raid hp buff. There are many methods to prevent this but you may see at least one or two deaths later on in the fight as it can become a RNG factor but good luck with the fight.

If it were actually doing damage on a per-tick basis to three people, it would be fine. For us, it seems like when it happens, it's like she's tripling up on one person, having them take 30k damage in 3 hits all of which happen at the same exact moment. My initial thought would be that someone is not stacked and thus no one else is nearby to "share" the hits with, but pretty sure we had deaths to it even when everyone was stacked.
Definitely eager to get back in there and give it some more goes on Sunday. We got her to 5% and died to enrage, so we're very close to a kill either way.
Will report back and let folks here know if and how we fixed this issue. Perhaps it will help someone else struggling on the fight.
