Laethys P3

From what I understood about reading strats and watching many kill videos, P3 is probably not supposed to cause as much frustration as she has been causing us.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these changes should occur in P3 (37%):

• Two ads spawn that need to be squirreled/tanked
• AIDS reactive ability/debuff
• She stops being tankable/stops giving tanks stacks (so tanks could go tank ads as intended?)
• Treasure Storm more frequent
• Things that stay: Aurics, Subs, Tail lance/blue bubbles

We seem to be hitting a wall consistently at p3 and are wondering why. Sometimes she still throws out orbs and kills our healers, she almost always keeps giving tanks stacks so they're still swapping and sometimes dying, and in general the two ads seem to ignore our cleric tank sometimes and go around smacking people in the face. The three of these things tend to cause us to wipe around 25-30%.

If something is wrong about what we understand P3 to be please correct me. Or if these are bugs, why does she hate us

Just CC the ads. To my knowledge from doing the fight nothing changes except the adds and that debuff. Every time you click that debuff temp ability(at 1-2 seconds left) make sure you have someone around you so you can spread it and not kill yourself. Other than that, it's just like P2 except she just gets angrier and more blues come out and does sub more often.

Originally, Laethys no longer needed to be tanked, but I believe it's now intended so that tank swaps continue and the adds are CC'd (originally I suspect the adds were swapped between tanks and Laethys ceased tank swap mechanic, but instead the adds were kept CC-able and the tanks now just swap on Laethys).

Orbs shouldn't present a problem if you can stack properly to mitigate the damage (and no one is too far back to delay the orb impact to overlap with sub).

Use a target and cast macro to sheep the adds immediately as you get the p3 emote.

I also set a focus to keep an eye on one of them. Orbs are something that you learn to deal with by either brez'ing through them by having less deaths through p1/p2 or hoping for the best.

The p2 mechanics (tank damage, orbs) are still happening in p3 because they never actually fixed the golden destruction piles glitch and just took a page from the forums and forced them to despawn.

But hey, piles are gone.

I'd say I'm disappointed, but I'm finding it more difficult to put on a careface.

Am I the only bard that has to mez a golden and then a mage transmogrify's? Cast vs. instant mez.
Also when 1 gets loose its my job to mez the one that's on the run.

Just looked at the bard's mez, thats not a bad idea. Mages do get instant transmogrify but it takes 16 dom so only a mage picking up Transference (and then putting another point in instant transmog) would have it.

Duh, we aren't doing it because we want to press more buttons, me and the archon team up for it on the golden en then I'm kinda the failsafe for the silver/gold if they get loose.

Question, does it work to explode the adds on Vladmal Prime? (would mean we don't have to switch someone to an useless pvp spec...)

Don't know, haven't tried, I think its not possible, otherwise we would've done it earlier

Would be a nice thing to have when one gets loose, as long as you mash the macro as soon as the emote pops the add never gets close even without me having instant sheep.
