Is pvp gear acceptable for use in expert dungeons in your opnion? Would you call somebody out for wearing it if they were dps?

PVP gear has some hit on it, and expert dungeons are out geared now.
As a healer i wouldnt mind a DPS wearing upto date DPS pieces but certainly not a tank.
In my opinion, as long as they're still able to perform their job I don't care what they wear. For DPS, that means having 100 hit/focus which is easily obtainable with high rank weapons and/or runes.
If they were wearing the newer pvp gear, I would imagine that they out-dps a lot of the newer players or characters who are going through the initial gearing process. Not kidding. As far as tanking goes, I tanked at least 30 or so expert dungeons with 90 toughness, so it's really not impossible or anything.
Yeah, nothing wrong with that. In pvp gear (4 pieces of Virtuoso, rest Savant) I only have about 50 less SP than I do in my full pve set (mix of HK relics and ID pieces). So that's not really a big difference, so long as you still have the required hit/focus.
-Heresy- Icewatch Defiant
Vayra - Mage
Forkrul - Cleric
Kalyth - FOTM warrior in training, 5k pvp kills at lvl 28
Coming from a person who hardly pvps.....
We have ppl in ID that use pvp weaps. As long as the hit/focus is met it doesn't matter.
The ppl that grind r50 pvp have as much right as ID raid gear folks to be anywhere IMO.
Edit: I'm only rank 22 pvp bc of conquest grinding. R1-? Is HARSH in pve gear lol

As long as they get the job done I don't care what the hell they wear.
Nothing wrong with using PVP gear in PVE ESPECIALLY if its the new r50 stuff. This kind of depends on which pieces they have etc, but in some cases its near BiS when it comes to stats. As long as they have the hit / focus to do the dungeon as everyone has called out then they are more then geared. Keep in mind as far as armor goes only helm/gloves gives hit/focus, therefore someone could have hk/id helm/gloves and pvp the other pieces as maybe they havn't gotten the full sets.
If your talking about PVP weapons then they are better then HK gear in most cases, and damn close to ID (not as good as ID though).
If your talking pvp trinket its BiS in almost all cases (few exceptions)
I can say I have an alt warrior that mainly uses pvp gear for DPS only because his primary role is a tank so all of his ID marks are going towards tank gear, and since he's just an alt and dosn't raid much I don't have alot of those to go around. In DPS with alot of PVP gear he still rocks like 340 hit or so.
You know I was glad to see there are less eletist jerks in rift than WoW. In all my dungeon runs I have only ever come across one such jerk that kicked 3 people as the dungeon went on, bad mouthing verious aspects of there gear and dps. Which was sad because the dungeon was progressing just fine. Every 50 is new at some point and these people would do well to remember that. As for PvP gear I see no problem with it if it gets the job done.
I had to heal a tank once that was wearing only legionnaires gear (no longer used), a green mh/shield sub lvl 40, and his two ess core had two resist only lessers in it, that was it. Needless to say he was getting rocked. Had to use healers cov on first trash pack just to keep him alive. He refused to change into normal tank gear and said i was a bad healer if i couldnt keep him alive at his 8k health with no toughness.
I normally dont mind anyone wearinh pvp gear since it does carry good stats. However, try not to tank in it if you are extremely undergeared
Atrocious - Guardian Cleric- 11/11hk
Achamianx - Defiant Warrior - 5/8 ID
Facadex - Defiant Cleric - 4/8 ID
From a healing perspective, PvP gear adds a lot of survivability to players (more endurance/armor). If low DPS is an issue, you can always hybrid-heal (Senticar ftw!)![]()
