Default tanking itzuil. Fire sigil or regular tank sigil?

What are people using. Our cleric was getting destroyed with full fire sigil and runes ect. Our warrior had regular tank sigil with fire runes only and was easier yo heal.

Fire sigil ofc unless its crap. In good fire sigil you don't loose any stats. But if you made sigil from some green fire resists essences...

With new block absorb cap changes with 1.8, a fire sigil (depending on the quality of the lessers) is almost better than a max block sigil that would most likely be BIS before 1.8 so i would lead twords the fire sigil b/c of waves, ROF , etc.

I only used runes, and did not use fire sigil.

I used reg sigil (earth and death essences) with a fire rune on it, and FR runes on chest/shoulders with end potion. I think that gives me about 150 FR (I have the first tier of fire PAs done) raid buffed. I just lose too much block because all the fire essences are dodge or parry. Most of Ituziel's normal hits are physical damage anyways.

This is what i keep hearing. I think its a wash on both sides ftom ehat ive read. 1 thing that bothers me is that when a tank moves in for WoI and a wave is coming that you cant avoid, it debuffs you and the resists drop to 0 making the sigil pretth useless.

No matter which one you use, the mob is a ***** to tank. Imo there's higher chance to die from physical attacks than from any other attack on him, aside from Word, but if people are doing their job properly you won't die to any of them.

Btw Waves dont reduce ur resist to 0, the remove 150 resist i think it is .. so stacking more is prolly better? In full relic warrior tank gear with the relic shield i am already over the block softcap, so dodge and parry become BIS after u achieve the softcap

I hear if you run a full water core it cancels out some of the fire damage.

Run full fire resist. I'm at 380 FR. Tanking him while eating waves....just tell your healers to heal and you'll be alright. CDs are your friend.

Agreement to what was said: get resis and your healers will probably like you a little more.

Being a healer, I very much urge all tanks to use a fire sigil on Ituziel.
