    Default Add hardcore mode instances for major raid fights

    Greenscale
    Alsbeth
    Akylios

    Fights you could do once a week in an instance with your raid team to increase content.
    The fights would either be the original tuning, or simply harder mechanics.

    The rewards:
    Just ID marks and achievements.
    No better gear. Gear shouldn't even drop.

    Because it's all about the challenge, right?

    I'd gladly take master modes on certain bosses.

    Ok then, just for the achievement and team play.
    I don't want to see a so-called challenge ruined by epeen trinkets that drop from it.

    I just want the arena.

    They could really make it interesting and tune everyone's stats to be exactly the same.

    That would actually be pretty cool. Hardmode Greenscale, didn't we do him last year with people in blues and 10k HP tank? I think if you got some good XP at the end of the raid it would be nice and worth it, no marks needed.

    Why does this not exist already for every raid zone? We have to take zilas to the brink of death, let him heal up a bunch of times, while like 8 butchers are up... but i there is no "you own the crap out of this place" achieve? I am disappointed.

    There already are master mode raids, your entire raid has to take their gear off for the raid.
    i5 m520 3ghz, 4gb ddr3 ram, HD 5650.

    this defeats the point. think about it like this:

    if a proffessional weightlifter wanted a challenge, sure he could tie one arm behind his back, eat junk food all day, skip a nights sleep and see how much he could bench press but it defeats the point of it. people want to min/max and tweak to try and push there bodies (characters) performance to the max and perform amazing feats

    would you rather win a potato sack race or an olympic race?

    I love Hardmode encounters from EQ2. I wouldn't go back and redo old zones but going forward I would very much like to see this.

    Funny you should say that, I'm a solo player, still waiting for challenging content for this playstyle. But I am a lot more contented than I was 9 months back. I got chronicles as the designed content which didn't exactly fill the gap (although Ember Isle holds a few goals for me yet) and do them naked is exactly what I do, on all 4 classes.

    Back before the era of achievements giving people permission to extend their gameplay beyond the direct directive, players were better at this sort of auto-tuning.

    Want hard go in on gear level. Don't use gear that drops from the Raid or a raid in the same tier.

    Now you have your hard mode.

    Pretty simple right?

    The way people run GSB now and GS. You start he never lands again and you win. The gear broke the encounter.

    Go in on gear level. Which is 5 man expert gear. Even with the buff it would be a hard encounter instead of a forget all and just burn the Boss.

    But what is Heroics run anyway? A Dev turning up raid damage to insane levels making healer jobs harder. Then lower the enrage timer so you have to take less healers making their job even harder. The encounters don't change for anyone else. They are still mashing the 1 or 2 button macros as fast as they can. Nothing changes for them.

    Why people think it's a epic encounter making a healers job is the only one that's harder is beyond me. But I guess it's the WoW players. It's all Blizzard does to make encounters hard dial up the damage and turn down the enrage. Exciting I guess.

    You still min/max. You do it with the gear you are wearing. Why does it have to be HK God gear? Why should everything be tuned to the max gear level?
